I've yet to do it. I've been reading those on here and have written a few of my own.

How do I go about getting them put up or finding out if they're good enough?

Ahhh yes, where were my manners? lol I was just waking up... yeah that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. Welcome Lolli Pop! I'm still new here too! :)

You also could post the first paragraph or two somewhere on the forums and ask for comments.

Most readers (myself included) make their decision to read a story off the first couple paragraphs anyways, and it's a fairly clear indication if you have the mechanics down, etc.

Good advice James or, Lolli, you could message me via my name above the AV and I'll give it the once over. (though why you should trust me I have no idea)

Just out of curiosity, anybody have an idea of what the current lag time between submission to posting is?

Isn't that from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy? An ex-roommate would always answer "42" when I would say "I've got a question." He muttered something about the book, but I can never remember what the question is.

Dang, I've waited 3 days which have seemed an eternity... I'm not a patient person. Tick....... Tock........

I submitted a story about 11PM on the night of Aug. 22 and it posted about an hour ago. That makes it just short of six days, at least for that story. :D

3 days is typical when they're not behind. I can get impatient myself, although I feel less pressure to put out something "new" when I still have one pending.

To answer your question, Lolli, you can post it on the forum that is meant for that purpose, Story Feedback, OR you can post a few paragraphs here and let some of us say something OR you can roll the dice and post the story and see what happens. :D

It's the answer to the question, "What is the meaning of life?" :D

Actually cloudy, that's the question the mice thought they were asking.

When they got the answer they realised they didn't know the question at all.

So they had the Earth built to find out what the question was.

Just before the question was discovered though, the Vogons tore the Earth down for a hyperspace bypass.

It turned out it was the universe's psychiatrists who hired the Vogons because the shrinks knew they would be out of business if the question and the answer ever got together.

I could go on, loved the books, but I shan't.
