I enjoy lit and used to enjoy the informed criticism on stories feedback. Now, everyone, including the site owners, have given up on the ethos of the forum and pariahs desecrate the rationale. scouries, love him or loathe him, has a relevance to the debate but only in Authors' Feedback or the General Board. Publishing football scores calculated by pencil under his comfort blanket has nothing to do with stories feedback. Why will no-one make a serious complaint? Intellectual arrogance?

I understand TX's rage, but why won't the gurus, who seem to be on a mission to turn the editors' forum into an incestous lovefest with no readers, something inaccessible to ordinary writers, start a campaign to clean up stories feedback.

one very simple answer

The site does not give a shit what goes on in the forums.

The standard answer given to anyone who complains of anything is "if you do not like it leave." Pilot for the record is always one of the first to give that like the good little drone he is.

So scouries will be here forever while great authors leave because they get tired of the BS but the site is fine with it

Let me give you an example that does show that it is pretty obvious that scouries is not only allowed to be here no matter what he does, but is apparently encouraged.

Scouries spent well over a month repeatedly posting racist images of lynchings hangings concentration camp victims, He also continously posts pics of full out sexual acts which are also supposed to not be allowed.

Every racist pic he posted was reported by TX, myself and others. Nothing was ever done.

a member by the name of Loquere was recently warned by the site for thread bumping, spamming, and repeating the same post.

he got warned and scouries has been running amok for years posting blatant lies about other posters and driving people off left and right.

so I have come to the conclusion scouries is the sites little joke on all the rest of the posters here,

but again, don;t complain.

Reading through the admittedly confusing post, he's bitching about scouries being here which is why he is referring to TX who has been getting more than a little pissed off the idiot is still here promoting fake contests and telling authors what categories are allowed here.

Scouries is, without a doubt, the biggest ass on this site, and in spite of his vehement denials, it is certainly no surprise to me that sr would come to his rescue...yet again; they are like two peas in a pod.

Scouries admittedly uses, "tentacles," a software program used by hackers, thieves, and con men that hides the user's IP address. With the use of this software he can vote for any story he wishes over and over again. He uses it to bolster his own scores, or in my case, bring down the scores of anyone for whom he has a hard-on.

When I reported his activity to Lauren she never addressed the actual complaint in her reply saying only that scores were not that important.

He's not the only one who uses this program or something similar. The funny thing is that other person is seen as a hero around here even though they have cheated to the same effect.

But seriously, yes, the Web site owners seem a bit clueless about protecting the health of their site. But then, they give no evidence that they care much what happens with the forum.

Pilot is correct in his last post about not caring about the forums.

The thing is it goes past the forums. Scouries affects the contests, he is more than half the reason there are sweeps and he has driven off many authors so it odes affect more than just some people getting mad on the boards.

I don't know. I can't see allowing anyone else to decide whether you keep stories here or pull them. That's giving them the power and control over your actions, isn't it? Keeping your stories here would show they aren't worth enough to bother you, wouldn't it?

And scores shouldn't be that important. Laurel is right on that.

The last story I submitted carried a perfect 5* for the first 62 votes and still had 4.94 after 117 votes. I can't help but take some pride in that.

Of course when Scourie got wind of it he sent me an email indicating his intentions to sabotage, not only that story, but all my stories. At first I just took it as the ravings on a lunatic but the very next day everyone of my stories had dropped significantly in score. I looked up the software scouries was bragging about and found it does exist and does exactly what he said it did. He was working on bringing my stories down below 2.0. I'm sorry but I refuse to allow that to happen and would rather pull the stories from the site.

As it turned out, I found other avenues and now actually get paid for my stories, so he actually did me a favor.

If such a PM existed, it should have been forwarded directly to Laurel. Are you saying you did report this to Laurel and her response was that "she never addressed the actual complaint in her reply saying only that scores were not that important"? This is certainly an allegation that should come out into the open.

Interesting scenario. Where I do agree that its hard to believe he would admit that, then that means you're calling Nakdsub a liar, who in that case would be lying about the sites biggest liar?
