What do you all think of Post-apocalyptic stories?

Yeah, it's a favorite genre of mine. Right now I can't remember any novels beyond The Road. There was one good one I read last year about the Moon being closer to earth and surviving in NYC. And then another where a small family had to hole up in their house for like two years and how they did that.

I just had this conversation with someone.

All I know is I'd be dead. I am on chronic meds. I don't get them I go bye bye. I think I better bunk out in a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant or I'll be picked off by wolves.

Yep.

Survival of the fittest.

I'd have to bunk with you!!:D

I came across a couple of stories a few years back on Lit. I enjoyed them because it's one of my favorite genres as well.

I don't recall any Lit post-apocalyptic stories...I'm not sure what I would think about that. In a setting similar to The Road, I am fairly confident I would not like that, it seems too out of sorts. However, in a post-apocalyptic setting like S. M. Stirling's "Change" series where a new civilization has arisen, then I'd be more likely to appreciate it.

I would if I could find them again... this was something like 3 or 4 years ago... the odds are even worse as I can't remember the titles.

Well write one! I’ve had so many ideas but not enough time. I have a story that I’ve meant to revise, but have been procrastinating on it like I was a graduate of miami university.

I'd love to, maybe one day if my life ever slows down enough. I have a few stories I've started over the years, but I never finished them or got far enough to make any sort of sense...

I've published a few but I have many half finished stories.
