Hey, what's a girl gotta do to get some porn around here?
Seems like saying Aeroil does not look like Harry Potter while keeping a straight face should do the trick  I don't really know honestly, I was wondering what they were talking about and I wasn't away for any time

He looks a bit like Daniel Radcliff, who is the actor that plays Harry Potter in the movies. I'm not sure why hearing people point this out affects Aeroil like it does... I personally think DR is cute and is getting to be pretty hot (I'm not sure how old he is in real life, but despite his age in the movies, I believe he's around 19 or 20 now.) DR and Aeroil are both good looking, IMO. I like the glasses/sexy/nerdy look.

Yes, I saw his picture and all... I'm just wondering how the porn got into all this?

In another thread AK said that she needed porn. And Aeroil not only pointed her out to a good site, but then let her use his user name, since they evidently aren't allowing people to join right now.

So then AK came over here, and said that he's a great guy, etc., and that she doesn't think he looks like Harry Potter. Don't know why, but it bugs the heck out Aeroil that he looks like Harry Potter. *shrugs*

I'm ridiculed about it at school, so it makes me angry.
haha, it would be nicer if I could just be called cute by itself lol, I do like that :).

They're just jealous that they don't look like a famous movie star.

I somehow doubt the grade 8's and 9's who constantly shout it at me like a pack of wolves are coherent enough to experience something as complex as jealousy.

I don't know about you, but I remember 8th and 9th grade, and jealousy was a big thing. That and joy of bugging people. If you don't show it bugs you, they'll leave you alone.

It's like you not wanting my 'cookies' unless you get to steal them. Once it stopped 'bugging' me, you weren't interested.

I never speak to anyone who calls me Harry Potter, I refuse to unless they address me by name, or ask me my name.

Doesn't work.

<Spank!!> Not sure why on that one, just felt right....I think actually you needed a noogie to cheer you up, but spanking is more fun than noogies any day.

We Know Who We Are...

I read through the sequence of posts out of curiosity since this was revived a week or so ago, and I would like to offer a different perspective.

There have been about 15-20 people post to this, and about 12-15 have contributed positive thoughts about those who they enjoyed talking to here. And you know what? With a few outliers tossed in, most of the respondents are saying nice things about.... the other respondents.

Not especially unexpected, but think about it.

There was a survey a couple months ago about the chemistry here and why many people tend to stay away or not have much to say. While most everyone said things were pretty much OK and good, it was the people who DIDN'T respond because they weren't here that you should think about. Sort of the "Dewey Defeats Truman" result from doing an election survey among people who had telephones, when telephones were more of an upper-class luxury.

The "inner circle" focus of this forum is part of the reason for that.

Orignally posted by Marquis: (talking about attendance at fetish parties) .... You would think all these "posers" would annoy the committed among us, but we keep a sense of humor about it. Having them around keeps costs low for those of us who can barely hide our wood when a whipping display is reaching its climax. Besides, we may be few and far between, but we know who we are.

Even on this forum, we know who we are.

And that's it exactly. Postive vibes are fine, but you should look at the larger picture, too. And moderators and high-volume posters who reinforce the "inner circle" image do everyone a disservice.

Sin.

I do expect to be chided about "if you can't stand the heat..." and about about being afraid to jump in the pool and swim, etc. for saying this, but I felt the elephant standing in the middle of the room was too big to ignore.

thanks for mentioning something alot of ppl have noticed. :cattail: and not being afraid to post it.

You make a very good point, Singularity (btw, I *still* love your stories!)... but the truth of the matter is that I, at least, basically mentioned the people I know best here, with whom I am familiar, and thus had some basis for good things to say about them. Those people are the ones who post frequently or in the threads in which I have an interest... So that has some bearing on who gets mentioned for positive vibes, too, I think.

It's a reasonable point. But people tend to create affiiliations, IRL and over the net, deal with it.

I was new about a year ago, and just leapt in. I never complained about board dynamics. I still don't unless I see something really fucked up and egregious. I just assume that some people will integrate, some won't, some could care less and others care far too much.

Edited to say, holy shit, a year? More like 2.5.

hmmm did i read it wrong? i found it interesting that singularity noticed the same thing that others did. that this thread created its own inner circle in the thread.
i see it often, in many threads. an outside opinion or a statement from someone is totally overlooked even whent he thread starter is answering each post separately. *shrug* i like to figure out how things get that way...just my thing, and i think/thought singularity was doing the same.

btw i didnt post here and prolly wont because it would take days for me to make a post. i actually wouldnt want to leave anyone out, and i would have to think about the absolutely best thing i think or know about the person.

I would like to point out that I did find something nice to say about someone who I've had altercations with in the past. That's what I thought the point of the thread was about. But because everyone else was, I felt that I should say good things about everyone else I know. Frankly their are very few people, new or old, that I don't get along with.

Beyond that, I agree with Netzach. I didn't come here (a year ago :p ) and expect everyone here to fit in with me. I came in and tried to fit in with the people here. I have been to many many forums, and what I know is that each one is different. If you don't fit in here, there is a forum that you will fit in. (Unless you're a troll - but then the point is to not fit in, isn't it?) If you go through life expecting people to go out of their way to accomodate you then you are going to have a miserable life.

And quite frankly, that's why I think that some people don't work out. They don't spend time figuring out what the relationship dynamics are, they don't spend time watching to see what the 'unspoken rules' are, and they don't read the POSTED rules at the top of the forum. They just jump in and assume that we are all like them. They're usually the person who comes on and picks a fight with AA, or says something snotty to KC, or hurtful to dolf. If they'd paid attention they'd know that picking a fight with AA is a good way to get shredded, and saying something snotty or hurtful to dolf is a good way to piss everyone else off. (They're also the people who get on here and tell shyslave to call them 'sir'. )
