Porn scripts???

Hey, I just wanted a quickie here....er....quick responce....I guess....

I'm kicking around the idea of writing a porn script. I have a basic premise and some character types in mind.

Now before you read much further, yes I watch porn. I watch a LOT of porn, and I realize that the more story you try to cram into it, the worse the movie usually is...and for a good hardcore fuck flick, that's really saying something.

I'm not an art student, I'm not some hot-shot writer trying to make his mark on the world (though, that would be nice). I just need to know how professional of a script the damn thing needs to be. I've never had a formal script writing class and never actually perused a legitimate script.

Any help?

I got a great idea for a porno, get a guy on a bed with a girl hand them two bits of paper which says in big letters "SCRIPT" and film them throwing the bit of paper on to the ground and fuck each other.

I mean seriously, you don't need a script for a porno.

Yeah, I kinda gathered that. I just didn't know if there's anything that NEEDS to be written down (besides the sheet of paper with script written on it in big letters)...or if we just needed to get a camera, find a location, get some "actors" and go to town.

I think a well-scrpted porn movie with hot fuck scenes is better than one with just hot fuck scenes... generally anyway. Of course, sometimes, you just want the action

Plus, it's easier to get a girlfriend/wife/whoever to watch porn with a good story (it gives some semblance of respectibilty!)

Sometimes I like goog, steamy movies better than porn. That way I can get excited without being embarrassed about buying or renting it. But yeah, like everyone else said, sometimes it's just about the fucking.

You hit the nail right on the head there. It does always make me laugh though when porn stars suddenly want to transfer into mainstream acting and try to survive.

Not really suddon hun, ALOT of porn stars were originally just doing it for some money to launch a normal career. ANd some of them actually do it...

This thing would be all local talent (if I wrote it and got it filmed...) I'm sitting about 30 minutes from the Iowa Great Lakes, the seething melting pot of sexuality during the summer. Hell, if a place is rated by Playboy to be one of the top 5 places to get laid during summer and in the top 3 (used to be 1, but I think we slipped) to get laid over the 4th of July, there's got to be some able bodied folks that can actually convey emotion and like to screw.

I gotta admit, the lesbian Hamlet is sounding better and better all the time....could cover all the bases by having the star fuck the ghost of her dead father (mother??) Make up would be tricky, but it'd be sweet if it worked!

If they were good actors they wouldnt do porn. I know considering the type of forums these are that every form of sex imaginable isnt off topic, and that generally we all have healthy attiudes towards sex, but...

In the real world outside these forums someone who is serious about acting wouldnt go into porn.

In real life, we all know that the heavier set guys don't have the best of luck ....... Just like me. Most girls around here want guys with a six pack and muscles. Why not make a movie where fat guys get their break and get to fuck hot women. Kind of like Ron Jeremy... u know? hell, i'd buy a copy of it!

Honestly? I think the best thing to do would be to head right on over to the story section of Lit. Try to find pieces with lots of dialogue and good scene descriptions. Draw inspiration from that. Obviously, the sex is going to happen how it happens so your focus can exclude those parts of the story. But see what common-yet-still-intriguing situations arise, what sorts of characters interact with each other well, how they talk, how the story builds into a reasonable climax.

So essentially, stop thinking of writing a porn script and just write a good story. If it reads well, it'll translate into porn just fine.
