"Poppee" Needs a Hug Thread

What can you find out from the dark side other than the fact that it's dark over there? ;) (Sorry, I've been reading Terry Pratchett again, and his irreverence for all things we revere is catching!)

An understanding of "the Dark" is an enhanced understanding and recognition of "the Light" in my experience. I cannot find some answers or knowledge I seek in "the brightness"...but sometimes I find it lurking in "the shadows". I still imply that one is more important or better than the other...which I am coming to believe more and more is not the case.

Stirbs...YOU know this better than most it appears to me. You are quite at ease with both aspects in many many ways. You seem to be desensitized to the fear that can occur when one is faced with "dark spots" in life. You have looked them in the eye, dealt with their realities of their being, found the humor and even seem to have befriended or can embrace some of "the dark".

I mean....who among us is more balanced than.......Veggie Skull? :D

I am serious as well as teasing!!!

I think I understand. I am fascinated with dark places, and have more curiousity than fear about them. I also think I've faced the darkest thing a person like me can ever face, and so anything else, no matter how bad, is nothing more than comic (or other) relief.

If HD were here he might repeat to you that apocryphal story about astonishing "Nasty Rude Guy" who, one fine day, was searching diligently for something out on the busy main street to town. Or maybe he wouldn't. But your talk of light and dark reminded me of this exchange:

"What have you lost, Mulla?" someone curious asked him.
"My friggin' car keys," the Nasty Rude Guy answered.
"Oh and you think you dropped them out on this road somewhere?"
"No, of course not! I misplaced them in my house!"
"Then why are you looking for them out here?"
"Because it's DARK in there, idiot!"

Then Veggie Skull, bouncing up and down above the two people's heads, chimed in, "I WILL CLEAN HIS HOUSE AND FIND THE KEY!"

(I'll let you know what happens. ;) )

So glad you are my buddies and I can be around you all at one time or another...the other friends we share time with, too. What a bunch!

Yes....please tell me what happens as soon as it does? Does Veggie find the keys???

Veggie Skull says, "NASTY RUDE HOUSE DARK AND DIRTY! YAY!! I CLEANIE-CLEANIE!"

He also has a photo to post but he doesn't have the skills to do so himself (not much goes in in an empty skull!) so I will do it for him:

In the image, if you look closely you can see old Mulla N. in there, head bowed and sulking in the darkness. I don't think he likes the cleaning machine I've let loose upon the premises. ;)

Apparently there are no keys yet, but with you-know-who on the job, it shouldn't be too soon before something (although, maybe not keys) turns up.

Thank you, too, sweet_bitch! I always need these but it's been a while since I came to this thread, too...tomorrow I'll post some new hugs for everyone who peeks in! I think people know there's no expectation that they post...just get a hug! But I love to get them, too! :D
