Poor sport Russians whining at the Olympics...boo hoo

Personally, if I was on the Olympic commity, I'd help them pack their bags. The Pairs skating problem has cost the sport alot of credibility, along with casting a taint over the Olympics after the major shakedown over bribe taking. They want to be judged fairly? SO DO THE REST OF THE ATHLETES! I mean, really, what the hell do they think is going to come out of this? There is no real wrong doing that anyone can spot. Their male Pairs skater stepped out of a double axel. Who took the gold in Men's Figure Skating? Oh that's right, a Russian. So, what should he have gotten, in the opinion of the Russian Olympic Union? A platinum?

You gp girl !!

:p

Bottom line for Russia, Next time send better athletes. Your skater was good, but face it Hughes blew her friggen doors off and gave a better presentation.

So go back to Russia, review your tapes, do your homework, and we'll still kick your ass in another four years.

oh yea you are absolutely correct Guru

:p

The "Soviet Republic" is obviously trying to take the heat off of their figure skating incident/scandal, and doing a piss poor job of it. I'm just upset that no one is pointing that out to them. I guess the Olympics is not a good place to have a shouting match.
I think it would be wise at this point, to just cut your losses, go home and get back to the drawing boards. Save some face, you know?

It hasnt escaped me James

:p

typical of the whiney arsed yanks complaining about the whiney arsed russians complaining about bribery and corruption
how did the games get to utah anyway?
bribery and corruption

OH, YOU DIDNT KNOW????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
POT AND KETTLE SPRING TO MIND
oh and for everyones information the skiier with the high haemoglobin level was a female and the russians are blaming it on the time of the month

The russians are(In no particular order):

1. cheaters
2. Whiners
3. A disgrace to the olympic ideal
4. Slimey
5. Decent hockey players.

What a bunch of bullshit.

What do you think about how the Russians have handled themselves at this winter olympics?

They can take their ball and go home for all I care. They just have flat out been beaten.

Their Hockey team got BEAT. Period. Their Women's figure skater got BEAT. Period.

Kwitchyerbitchin and take yer dayum ball and go the hell back home to freakin nevah nevah land and play with your goddamn freakin dogs in the freaking frozen tundra. As long as it will make you quit yer freakin wining Russia.

Heck I haven't got enough cheese to give ya for all the damn whining.............heck you make my best friends six year old who has a tooth ache seem like a perfectly normal kid........

Did I answer your question Siren????

;)

oh and I missed one also............the Russian Figure Skating Pair got beaten by the Canadians. Period. They flat out skated better and did NOT make any mistakes, whereas the Russians skated a flawed program.........

;)

The only injustice I saw was that the IOC allowed the Russian pairs skaters to keep their Gold Medal.

I hope the ISU and the IOC have the balls to do a thorough investigation and to make the results public.

Chuckus you crack me up

:p

The Russians ain't what they used to be....

Not like the Soviets of old, who won nearly every medal
in sight for a number of years! The Russians are crying
because they are not doing as well as we Americans are...
they're just trying to find any excuse to get that one
more gold medal, or whatever! It's bananas!

What's fair, is fair.

We've discussed this topic on my Olympic thread when
the skating scandal broke......and I still stand by that
the Canadians should have won the gold in the first
place, because they did skate a cleaner program than
the Russian pair. Now for the Russians to ask for
another gold medal for Irina Slutskaya in the ladies'
competition? That's so dumb, because Irina did badly
stumble during her long program........as the commetators
said that night...."skating finally got it right" in terms of
the judging.....

I think that there might be a more thorough investigation
of the judging in regards to skating once the Games have
completed, and hopefully, some new reforms made.

That was some funny shit.

Glad I could make ya laugh there Siren-pooh. I don't have any patience for losers who whine about it. IF they had a gripe, a real bonified gripe, I would listen to it. But they ain't got no freakin gripe. Nothing to contest.

They can fuckintaketheirgodamnballandgothefuckonhome any dayum time they wish to as far as I am concerned. Hell don't even bother coming back next time either, unless your gonna abide by the rules of fair play and actually WIN the damn medals. Because the IOC ain't gonna just hand em over to ya anymore, like they used to.

Good day, now back to your regularly scheduled program. :D

Woooo Hoooo Chuckus @!!!!

They can't, because they don't have good athletes in Russia. The ones the Soviets had were fom other countries like Romania, Yugoslavia and wherever they wanted when they were a part of the U.S.S.R.
Sounds like sour grapes to me...they were caught with their pants down and don't like being exposed!!

The Soviets did have a sports machine for years and years,
and ever since the collapse.....the USSR has been made
into many other countries again......Russia, Uzbekistan,
Lithuania, Lativia, Estonia......for example. And with that,
the famous "sports machine" has been dismantled, and
while there are still some good athletes from those particular
countries, there are some that still believe in the old Soviet
aspect that they have to be the "best", and they would do
anything to get to the top.

The real problemo for Rooskies is

They lost all there powerhouses when they carved up
their empire......
and they cant get away with the doping anymore....
testing is too advanced and too quick with results.

So if they cant bully a win
and cant cheat a win
they aint gonna win.

That is right......their athletes had taken performance
enhancing drugs........too bad they did not have drug
testing years ago, otherwise quite a number of
athletes, including some well deserving Americans (both
winter and summer) would have won medals, esp.
gold.

I'll take this a step up......East Germany (wow...sounds
too weird to write and say it!) for years was a powerhouse
so to speak in swimming events during the summer games.
I remember back in '92 after the wall had fallen etc. there
was a story about their Olympic swimmers and how they
had doped up to win all those medals. Go figure.

I am glad for the drug testing in the Olympics....fair and
square......its too bad that the three athletes in the
x-country skiing were caught with high hemoglobin levels
caused by this most recent drug that's been out since
only October and had not been on the IOC's list of banned
substances yet.

I hate to play Devil's Advocate here...but if it wasn't on the banned list yet, is it really fair to strip the medals? I'm not saying they shouldn't have been taken, but if it isn't a banned substance yet, then they weren't using banned substances...

ask the IOC

That is a good point...however, its the IOC's decision.....
what happened was that the drug they took is supposed
to treat those who have anemia, but however, it has
some of the same ingredients that are in some of the
banned drugs on the IOC list. that is why they stripped
them of their medals in the most recent events and banned
them from the closing ceremonies tonite.

I say ban any athlete that can't speak english better than HKBJ. All those funky accents are really hard to understand and they're always fucking up their tenses and grammar. It's just too much trouble.

The Candians can stay, but no more hockey for those bastards.
