People have told me I am looking for too much from one person thats why I can't find a partner I am satisfied by. I have been taking a serious look at myself and what I want from a relationship and I think they may be right. I don't want a swingers relationship I think its just too casual but I need some variety and be allowed to express my submissive side and then a few days ago I read something about polyamorous relationships and this seems perfect. I can be in a loving (emotional) relationship with both a man and a woman and a sexual relationship with both also. I crave a meaningful relationship with a woman but cannot give up the leadership of a man nor do I want to lose the feeling of a nice hard cock.

So what I want to know..... is anyone out there in this kind of relationship and/or is anyone interested in adding a 3rd?

I thought more people would be into this type of relationship considering how sexually open most are here.

i actually know quite a few people who engage in this lifestyle

its just like any other relationship, if you communicate thoroughly with your partners then you can have a very healthy relationship.

I have received a few PM's regarding possible polyamorous relationships I just can't believe with all the sex going on out here that there are not more people seriously looking into this.

Are we more prudish than we appear or just like fantasy and not reality?

Sign me up!! I get bored too easily.......I think that would solve the problem. Seem like there aren't many guys who are into the idea..

I'm sure there are a lot of people who would do this in a heartbeat if they thought they could. I've often wondered about it myself and would still be open to it if I weren't already in a wonderful monogamous relationship that is very strong.

I think, as much as some peoples' prudish morality might get in the way, the bigger stumbling block to truly successful polyamory is the need to "make it work" with more than one partner. Learning to communicate, compromise, accept, and tolerate is hard enough with only one other person ... to say nothing of two others, or more. IMHO anyway.

If you see some of the threads that have guys drooling over the woman they love getting fucked by someone else, they already incorporate some form of 'poly' into their relationship.

In my humble opinion most men in general, are too sensitive to be in a 'sharing' relationship. All communication has to be completely transparent.

Here are just 4 threads you might be able to scroll through and find useful information. I'd get as much information as possible before embarking on this type of relationship. But know in the end everyone has different expectations of a multiple lover relationship.

I have a good friend, female, that is into that kind of lifestyle. All are very happy, her, husband, boyfriend. the husband and boyfriend are also good friends but nothing sexual. To accomplish this, you must find people that are non-judgmental and not jealous. This gal spends as many nights as she wants with either guy. She controls the roost. I admire her for her ability to keep order in a potential explosive situation. She says she love both, equally.
BTW,, no children are involved.

I have had a lot of women respond to this ad but surprisingly not many men.
After all the fantasies I've read on here about men wanting to see their woman with another woman not many are ready to do it in real life.

I do see there would be issues if a couple has been married for years and just start sharing but if there are 3 single people involved and everyone gets the love and sexual gratification they need I don't see the big deal.

Wouldn't you rather have your woman share another lover with you openly in your bed, making love right next to you or with you at the same time?

I am a man who would love this but I think women are either lying to themselves because of some backwards primal false morality or really don't want it.

Loralei3000,

I am not an expert on this, but would think there would have to be a special chemistry between all parties involved, otherwise it could get ugly

yes I wouldn't want anything less than a special bond. I am not looking for 20 year olds here, I am 50 and would expect the others to be around my age. Maturity will definitely be a factor as is relationship history.

I, myself, would not like to see my wife in bed with another man. The fantasy is real, but when it comes down to actual act, I would back out and ask her to do the same. Call me possessive but I do believe in marriage and a one on one bond. My wife has been married twice before and me once. We have seen allot and done more. I'm 60 and she just turned 51,, and damn fine looking.
Don't get me wrong, I do not object to this life style. It's just not for us.

Skitzoid,
I feel the same way. The thought is very arousing my not my lifestyle either. I don't condemn those who would like that or even judge them. Not my place to.

Update

Thank all of you for your PMs and encouragement.
I have 3 couples that are interested in me and we have begun dating.
So hopefully one of them will turn out to be people I can share my love with.

Again thanks to all of you sweet Litsters for your helpful advice.

Glad to hear that Loralei! I wish you all the best and hope you find what you are looking for.

Starting a new life

Okay so I found my man and now all I need is to find our woman. So I'm back again looking for a woman to share our home, love and be a part of our family. She would need to be bisexual, DDAF, and employable.
We have created a life with as little drama and stress as possible and as much joy and positive energy as we can generate. We are a "normal" couple that just have a lot of love to give and are very open and honest about our
needs and desires.

We are in our early 50's so very secure in ourselves and want someone that is the same.

For disclosure purposes, he does have children that visit twice a year so some vanilla behavior may be necessary at times.

If anyone is interested please contact us we are ready to start dating.

I actually have a number of RL friends who live poly lives. With most of them I am friends with only one or two of the group. They are fairly stable relationships.

There kids are aware of their family situation and cool with it, although what choice do they have?
