Polls and the dread "Your session is invalid" message

There's a mysterious malady going round Lit at the moment.
Cruelly, it won't allow people to vote in polls.

I got the following as a pm this morning. With the sender's permission, i thought it might highlight the problem we're having of late.

i trust this short note finds you well and happy, cym.......i sense that you are busy these days with "stuff"........i hope you are ok.....

sorry to bother you.....but i have tried to vote on a particular poll today and it says that "my session is invalid".....i AM logged in....(i rebooted my computer 3 times...each time logging out first....than back in......but no luck!)

do you have any idea what is wrong here?....thanks!

Oh man! There's something wrong with the software that's running Lit these days, darlin'. WriterDom and Risia have both reported problems with this, too. I'm so sorry. Laural and Manu know about the problem, though, and it's being worked on.

Can i use bits of your pm in a thread to let everyone know about this?

Anyone know anything more on this?
Anyone want to use this space to vent against the gods for plauging us with this nasty bit 'o business?

I think we just have to wait it out.

It seems there is server & software maintenance being done regularly on the Forum servers of late....the sequel server(s) with the IP address that ends in .113 and the php database software appear to be the culprits.

Just a guess.
