i'd like to see a poll that addresses the elimination of these types of words. others would include:

dagnabbit
din't
yeehaw
tarnation

and that stupid laugh that roscoe had on "the dukes of hazzard."

excellent point. i just couldn't seem to access that place in my mind where i store all of those terms (for use when conversing with the locals).

Ah Quoll......given the timing of your first post, you weren't captivated by the "race that stops a nation" then?

Nice to see you making a mockery of tradition again!

:rose: Been sometime since we caught up...hope you're doing well!

Would you believe I actually missed the damn thing (stupid kids shows that suck you in) I did however catch several hundred replays from several dozen camera angles, just like being there.
To be honest the footage of the Henley on Todd was a bit more thrilling. :D

Hey, what kind of Aussie would I be if I didn't take the piss out of tradition.
I could make a mockery pie with a nice side dish of stewed girt and a delish desert of pashin' pav.

I'm doing ok, you know the one day at a time shit, also a bit sleep depraved ;) , just in case you can't tell by recent posts.

Will a poll like that of Quoll take a toll on the role to search one's soul with the goal of being whole?

Well the whole goal of the Quoll poll was not to take a toll on the role of the poll, but to see if the role of the poll should extol wholly upon those whose role it is to create the poll.

Can't imagine that you would have something more important to do!
:p

Haven't had a decent pashin' pav for such a long time.....when are you planning this great dinner and can I come???

I am so dislocated I have to check as to which state and time zone I am in...and as for the date...wouldn't have a clue! Should settle down a bit now....have only one more trip scheduled before the end of the year and thats to Bendigo...which is nothing in the scheme of things!

ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i immediately looked for "tar" because of an incident we had in a nearby town many years ago. a giant pile of tires burned for days. everyone referred to it as a "tar far."

I cheated and looked at the pole results before I voted. I just realized I could do that.
