with all the crap going on in DC and the media blitz....robo calls...what about an erotic thriller about politics?

What would you like to see happen?

I'm thinking about the wife of a politician, that is bi-sexual and gets caught having an affair with a woman, and fear from being "outed" and the backlash the husband steps up and says he made a mistake....

Sorry, the wife is having the affair with a woman. let's say that the political power couple comes from the South. So, the FF is a taboo. So before the scandal hits, the husband comes "out" to the media that he had an affair

Most Southern politicians have mistresses, so his going pubic would hardly shock anybody... and of course, because he's the typical narcissistic poltico, he's only worried about his rocks getting off... which is why wifey needs a good muff diver...

yes, the wife is having an affair with a woman. While most would not be shocked about an affair, would they be shocked that the wife was in love or in a sexual relationship with another woman?!

another scenario:

two political strategists from opposing campaigns meet for the first time during a face off for a news talk show. They hate each other, but also respect their political acumen. They argue intensely, which continues off camera as they walk out of the studio and back to a hotel...

another:

a new campaign strategy is not so much to expose one's opponent's past mis-deeds, but to scam them into tripping up, creating a scandal. Young sexy interns are sent to the opposing camp to seduce the candidate, his wife, his top aids...

I'm actually working on one right now for the winter contest. Politics is really interesting, and I think professional women are really hot- so you have a great combination right there.

As for what would happen, pretty much anything works in this context. People expect their politicians to be sex-less, and they want to keep it that way. So you can pretty much play around with it and add whatever kink you want (bdsm, incest, lesbian stuff, ect...)

she is having an affair with a major network journalist (like one of those short-skirted babes from Fox infotainment station). Though both obviously want to keep it on the DL as both have much to lose. But a young intern for the campaign catches them - a he or her? - is jealous or perhaps righteous thinking he/she is exposing an abomination.

Lots of possible ways the story progresses - attempted blackmail, maybe the two women seduce him/her to keep them quiet, if a girl intern they set him up with the politican (the husband and wife obviously have an "understanding"), or???

I will admit to have been looking for a tale to have a shot at, and this one as just leapt out at me.

Now, I do have a small problem or two... I'm Australian, and not all that familiar with the intricacies of the US political system, but with a little help from those more knowledgeable in the field, and some basic research, I will hopefully be able to bluff my way through.

But, I thought that on Calvin Jefferson Godwinson, a Congressman from Texas, who has a darling wife by the name of Catherine Juliette Godwinson, will be the main characters in the tale. Now, they married young, and did so in the good old fashioned way - creating a more powerful political unit. While they do enjoy each other's company in bed, Catherine just needs that little something that she can only get from a woman from time to time.

Enter Susan Desuza, your typical camera friendly lovely who works for one of the News networks who has managed to strike up a good arrangement with Catherine. Nothing more than filling each other's needs.

Now, yes, I deliberately gave them the same initials, to make it a lot more fun on the rumour mill. It can also lead to all kinds of other fun situations too. Like Susan initially thought she was going for Mister C. J. Godwinson, but landed Mrs C. J. Godwinson instead.

Calvin doesn't mind his wife having a girlfriend, as long as she is very discrete about it, not wanting the political fallout.

Now, about how it all starts falling apart, I am still thinking about that side of it. There are two main possibilities.

1) An intern discovers the truth, and starts to leak a little information in preparation to blackmail the Congressman's wife. I don't know whether to make it a male or female intern.

2) An ambitious female journalist who wants Susan's job has been investigating her main rival on her own time, trying to find out something that will get her kicked out of her spot, and give the rival the chance to get in front of the camera. Again, a little leaked information to better prepare them for the blackmail to come.

Depending on who is doing the blackmail, the Congressman's path after the official breaking of the news can differ.

Anyway, that's where I am with it at the moment. Any suggestions, comments, ideas, etc, are welcome.
