no, you are not alone. I'm not one of you but I don't think this board is all pinko-lefties like me, either.
Someone called her a republican cunt on the GB but that's par for the course there. No, she just doesn't like reading the viewpoints. I don't think anyone here was mean to her. Most here probably miss her being around. Those who knew her.
I had no idea she was more conservative than you.
There aren't many here who consistently post in political threads. It seems like it's a handful of us. There are conservatives and liberals who don't argue politics here. And to me it seems like there's a larger contingent of independents who don't consistently vote.
No in the middle Dom/mes?
Yeah I got her started in blogging and now she is a conservative blogger. She doesn't want me giving out the link here though. I did once and she got mad.

I do!
Dom, libertarian with Republican leanings. I've voted every election since Reagan, and have never once voted for a Democrat. Which isn't to say I'm a fan of GWB or the neo-cons, only that I thought the Dems would be infinitely worse.

Strict interpretation of the Constitution - none of this living document bullshit. It's an anchor that keeps us from drifting where we shouldn't go, not something that can mean whatever seems fashionable.
Me too!
That whole "living document" aspect of the Constitution dates back to the first supreme court. Judicial review and all that. I am somewhat conservative on judicial interpretation, but for me that means interpreting the constitution by looking closely at the intent of the drafters by using historical sources. It's both a living document and an anchor. I think it's pretty genius, actually.
And it's funny that you use the word "fashionable." In many cases, it's considered an act of judicial restraint when justices adhere to popular opinion rather than enacting a rule that may be considered radical.
I'm very liberal with a strong belief in personal responsibility. Go figure!I'm conservative with a strong belief in personal responsibility.
You know, she could have just refrained from opening the political threads.Someone called her a republican cunt on the GB but that's par for the course there. Were you here for this thread on political affiliation? She described herself as libertarian.I had no idea she was more conservative than you.
