Nope, not touching this one with a six foot pole. And Stan Waslewski, who is a six foot Pole, said he wouldn't touch it either.eudaemonia said:Sounds painful, yank ... so let 'em rip.![]()
I have never experienced a form of movement that honors a women's body like the curvacious exercises in Stripper 101. It's a vivacious, sultry celebration of the female body.
There is plenty of room for you exactly where you are. Whether you feel fat, old, sexy, or like a prude, this class welcomes you. Come reclaim your body!

These classes are a workout designed to enliven your senses, tone and strengthen your body, and bring you more deeply into your sensual self. It’s also way more fun then any dance or exercise I’ve ever done! In this class we learn to discover and accentuate the beauty that is already there instead of straining to meet an ideal.
Nudity
There is absolutely NO nudity required. Most people start in sweatsuits zipped up to the hilt and as they get more comfortable in class the outfits start coming out! What you wear (or don't wear) is totally up to you. I will show you how to strip out of clothing, but you won't need to do it in class.
Privacy
Signing up for a Stripper 101 class can be a real edge. In order to maintain a safe and supportive environment, I ask that you keep your classmates names confidential. Also, while you are more then welcome to share about your own experiences I ask that you don't share about anyone else's.
Stripper 101 Rules
1. Your body is FABULOUS!
2. Flabby bits are your friends
(You got to have something to shake honey!)
3. All feelings are welcome
4. If you can walk you can strip
5. BREATHE, BREATHE, BREATHE
6. If you're only coming for your boyfriend, tell him to come to the Men's Strip class and leave you alone
Optional Recital:
After each level of class you will have the option to participate in a recital at Devil’s Point [...]. This is an opportunity for you to be witnessed and supported by friends and family. If you ever had the fantasy of pole dancing in front of a group of cheering fans giving you money...here’s your chance!
eudaemonia said:Well, ::blush::, yes actually. The end-of-session (optional) recital is coming up ...
I'm going to give it a whirl. <g>
Frankly, the first time in class at the pole with just a few other women around is the hardest. After a few classes the sweats and jeans come off before anyone walks up to the pole. By the end of the 8-week session the feeling is more like what you'd get in a communal dressing room with a bunch of friends: "Oh, that's the perfect color for you!" "That makes your cleavage look GREAT!" "You're boyfriend's going to explode when he sees you that!" ... other such warm-fuzzy sentiments.
Also, I've heard from others who've done the recital that it's actually pretty easy with all your classmates and instructor there as your best and loudest cheerleaders. Of course, I'm not sure this is exactly what my mum thought it would amount to when she signed me up for tap lessons all those years ago.![]()
