I would really like to help, but it's just impossible right now. I never know when I'm gonna have time, or where I'll be when I have it. When things settle down I'd be glad to come back and do my Mentions, though.

I'm wondering if you're worth the trouble. lol I'm teasing. You can have all the help you want to get you started. I don't think Sunday or Monday or covered, but we've had so many changes lately, I could be wrong.

duckie, Maria had to stop doing Mondays and I'm sure no one is covering that day. I'm not sure about Sunday. I thought du lac was doing one day. If not, foehn is going to try it at least once.
Why don't you give this past monday a try on the review thread. No one has done it yet and I'm still working on Today's review.

Obviously reltne sees a wolf where there was only a newborn puppy. I did nOT object to his reviews, the poems he chose that day were excellent choices. However, he seems to want to make me ( out to be) a badguy.

I made a comment one day, after he posted that he had chosen the "obvious"three poems of that day...what did he mean by obvious? how would a "new" poet interpret that comment?

well, I for one, put myself in the place of new people. So, relt has his faves, he finds a new one he likes and compares them to his faves, tells then its a high praise from him, he determines what he thinks is good, thats fine, he likes who he likes, and thats fine too, he made that clear.


I attack no one, want no one to attack me, but I certainly did not object to his reviews. I think he is overreacting and acting in a childish manner..

Your reply was good, but I could give you some pointers. It wasn't quite fretful and dramatic enough.

Stanza 1: "wolf where there was only a newborn puppy" Good metaphor!

Stanza 4: "I attack no one, want no one to attack me" Personally, I'd move this line up closer to the wolf/puppy line. You need to tie attack in with wolf. Now that's dramatic!

Last stanza: "I bit once" Come on! You have wolf, attack and bit. That's what this is all about! You need to prune this piece back and get to the bare, wolfish branches!

I give you 75%


Now, if Trent agrees to Tuesday (I'm willing, I'm willing, I'm willing to give it up. Need a break!) then we have all our days covered and life is good.

I dont know any other way to express myself...Im a 12 year old in a 42 year olds body....

Just strolling in to say anyone can recommend a poem in the new poems thread anytime. The daily reviewers are there primarily to ensure that *someone* reads and makes some recs each day.

And I commend anyone who does this. It's a fair amount of work--some days it took me hours to go through all the new poems and try to say something meaningful about the ones I liked. Once I had ninety--it was a rough day, lol.

And Eve has been doing these reviews since before I came to this forum, shortly after the Civil War ended. I think she deserves the purple poetry heart. Or something...
