As soon as she logs on, she's going to get a popup that tells her she's got a new Private Message, but she probably has a dozen. She will see that popup well before she sees your lame "pm sent" post in her thread.

And it's not going to stop other guys, because we instantly think we can write a better one (we can) and we didn't have to tell everyone else we did it.

What's she going to do, stop and think, ohhh THAT Johnnyxx2020, the one that posted that nice "pm sent" in my thread! I better check my messages for that nugget of awesomeness I otherwise would've missed had he not helpully pointed it out.

On a serious note, I totally understand the frustration behind the "PM Sent" guys because it ultimately pushes out recently posted threads from genuine people. If a woman is intrigued by you and she takes the time to see that you've posted 5000 times and 4890 of them say "PM SENT" I think she'll probably no longer intrigued. That gives her no insight into who you are. True she may figure out what you're into based on "who" you're "PM SENT"-ing

I like what you have to say, and if you had a newsletter, I'd be subscribed, but I'm just gonna drop this note here in the thread that says nothing else but that I messaged you on the side."
