Do you ever wish you could just go about life like most people (seem to)?

It doesn't seem that complicated when I look from the outside in.

Introspection drags.

Anyone with me?

Totally. Life is like watching figure skating or martial arts. Or kayaking on the ocean. When others do it, it looks effortless and beautiful - fun, even. When you do it yourself, it's exhausting, complicated, and it feels clumsy.

yes....
and no.
i hate humans. hate them. but i wish to be like them. tyheni loathe myself when i am.

Honestly. I think most people go through life with blinders on. I really don't want to go through life like most people seem too... even if there are bad times with the good, I prefer to have my eyes open.

God, yes!

If I didn't know better, I'd pray to be oblivious.

Yes, the bliss of ignorance would be nice, if only for a time.

It's not that I don't want to take the bad with the good, in fact, it's not that at all.

Sometimes, I just wonder if I'm solely culpable for overcomplicating things, rather than they just being inherently complicated.

 GAH! I can't stand having to look at those lips, twice in a row.

Nope, alex.

I don't think we made this stuff up. ;)

Everything should be made as simple as possible, but not simpler. -- Einstein

and...

It is a simple task to make things complex, but a complex task to make things simple. (Don't remember who said that - maybe it was me?)

There is nothing easy about simplicity - not when you are intelligent and aware. You can't shut down your mind. Not without suffering.

The pure and simple truth is rarely pure and never simple.
-- Oscar Wilde

We are all solely responsible for ourselves. Bottom line.

The ease with which some people accept the mudanity of everyday life amazes me. Am I alone in not being content to waste my time at a job I don't like, living somewhere that bores me, wasting away every second?

draaah, honey. You just scared the hell out of me.

I was on the phone with my ex just now... the world in his mind is 10 times more complicated than mine ever gets....

And, I swear to you... He just used the exact same words you did.

I just checked the thread after hanging up with him and you gave me shivers!!

Draaah,

I keep posting and still keep coming back here. I think you really just hit the nail on the head and I want to thank you. I think Im having one of those days too

:rose:

Or reading something written by a really good writer and wondering why it's never that easy or good when you write it.
