I wanted to know if anyone would help me out here mainly the guys. I have a few friends over seas fighting in the war. Several are men and one is a lady. I am getting care packs together to mail over. Things I hear they need badly is Cigarettes, Baby wipes, (they can’t wash anywhere) condoms, beef jerky, female hygiene products and “girly mags”

I am fortunate to know many people and we are getting tons of things together to send over but I really need help with the mags.
Guys PLEASE if you have spare Playboys or Penthouses or anything at all and are willing to part with them may I ask for you guys to send them to me to mail over? I have Playboys and Maxim myself, several years worth and I save all of them but I am will to part with all but my 50th ann. Playboy. I can’t think of a better place for them to be right now than with our troops. Please folks if anyone knows where I can get my hands on anything like this let me know. Pm or e-mail me and I give ya address where to send them. I know I’m asking a lot here but I think it is worth it.
The other items are pretty easy to get but the mags I ask everyone I know and thought I might do better here.
Sorry if this post was out of line but again I thought it was worth it.

Might be true but I have already sent some the military is fine with me sending them. Now it is possible they are wrong but I’ll take the chance and try to keep sending them.

Wizzard, sounds like a great idea! Master just returned from over there this month! Really glad he made it out of there when he did honestly.

As for the porn, here's a scoop for you (let's just say Master is part of the command team for his unit)... IF the boxes get checked, and porn is found it will be confiscated and turned over to the unit's First Sergeant (reason being is this is the person that handles the mail for the unit). Now depending on the unit, the soldier who's mail it was COULD get into trouble for the porn, losing privileges like phone and/or internet access is the most common “trouble” (I’m not saying it WILL happen just that it CAN). Some unit commanders/command teams aren't as forgiving as others. Just a little tid bit.

I'm not saying don't mail what's been asked for as I feel these soldiers deserve to get whatever they want for having to be in that hell hole of a place.

Spending my 4 years in the military, I never once had anyone EVER check my mail. This includes boot camp where things are the most strict.

When in japan we weren't allowed to bring pr0n off the base since american porn is a hot black market item. But they never once "checked" us for it.

To add a bit of personal feelings into this. Screw Iraq if they don't like porn, we took over their freaking country!

NCShin, the only reason I knew that bit of info is the fact that my Master told it to me. In his position he was one of the ones in his unit that had to decide the fate of the soldier. Luckily for his unit he feels the same way I do. No soldiers in his unit got in trouble for porn.... as long as they shared....LOL

I think it is an excellent idea Wizard, and great you are putting it out there for others to be aware of. For many sitting in the security and comfort of their own homes, the discomforts and pressures of those both fighting and under attack are forgotten.

I just sent a huge box to my adopted troop in Kosovo. I filled it with candy, boxes of it, like purchased at warehouses. Then I made DVDs/CDs of porn and labeled the cds music and hid them inside of the boxes of candy, then inside of the larger packing box. It weighed 20 pounds. We got a kick out of the fact that I literally sent 'Sex & Candy'.

I am just sorry it started shit. I am sending care packs one a month right now and they will get most everything 2 thing I had a hard time with is cigs, and mags. I pay enough for my cigs and really can't afford to send them but wipes and all other for sure. I haven't been able to get along of mags and thought maybe just maybe a few dudes here might part with there prize collevtion for such a good cause. Help I don't think I will have any other than that one and it might go too.

I think of these guys and gals away from home for a year IN A WAR! I mean I traveled for work but 2 or 3 months at a time and had a hotel to stay in. I could take a shower.
I'd give these folks what ever they want.
