Once again, we have, unfortunately, had a thread removed because it violated forum guidelines. Please make yourself aware of the guidelines to avoid disappointment in the future.

Here are the guidelines in regard to photos, as posted by the site administrators.

Literotica Forum Photo Posting Guidelines Reminder
This post is just a friendly reminder about the rules for posting images on the Literotica forum. These rules can be found in the Literotica Site Faq. Because of some upcoming changes to U.S. photo recordkeeping laws, we are going to spend more time enforcing these guidelines.

As you all know, the size and activity on this forum makes is impossible to moderate every post/photo. Because of that, we continue to ask that you respect the guidelines and report any violations you find.

Here is a recap of the existing Lit photo guidelines:

*

The Literotica forum offers three different ways that you as a user can display your own images. Because of the massive size and high activity of the Literotica forum, none of these methods are pre-moderated. However, we will remove any images which are brought to our attention that violate our rules or any U.S. laws. The three methods of posting an image on the Lit forum are as follows:

1) Attachments. These are user-owned images which are uploaded to our server by users. All attachments must meet our guidelines or they will be removed if brought to our attention. Any account may be suspended for repeated violations.

2) Remote linking. These are images which are hosted on your server and displayed in your posts. As with attachments, they must always meet our guidelines.

3) Avatars/Profile Pics. These are your images which you can upload to display on your profile page and next to each post you make. As with the others, they are required to follow our guidelines.

The Literotica Forum Photo Guidelines have been created to conform to United States law in regards to content and copyright laws. If you disagree with the policy, please remember to cast your vote in any upcoming election.

Here are the basic Forum Photo Guidelines:

- Legally, we can allow soft nudity, but under current United States law, photographs (does not apply to non-photographic images) posted on this site may not contain "sexually explicit conduct", which the government defines as:

- Actual or simulated:
(A) sexual intercourse, including genital-genital, oral-genital, anal-genital, or oral-anal, whether between persons of the same or opposite sex;
(B) bestiality;
(C) masturbation;
(D) sadistic or masochistic abuse; or
(E) lascivious exhibition of the genitals or pubic area of any person.

- All persons in all adult-themed photographs must be over 18 years of age.
- Image must not contain URL or other advertisement.
- You must have a legal right from the copyright owner to post any images - i.e. photographs/drawings that you yourself created and/or have a license or other permission to post.

If you see any images which violate these guidelines, please report the post and we will review your report. Anyone caught repeatedly violating these guidelines may have their image posting privileges revoked. Literotica may remove any image for any reason without notice, and may periodically purge old images from the forums.

Thank you for reading this, and for helping keep Literotica going strong!

Is the reason my thread was removed related to a complaint?

Don't like my politics and can't silence me from speaking out, so backdoor me with a complaint about one of the most popular threads on all of Lit. You can be a pervert who dreams and whacks off about fucking your Sister, Mother, Father, Daughter, but speak the truth and take a stand for Democracy and against Fascism....that's over the line. That's fucking petty. But then Lit. is full of ignorant, petty children.

I would have thought you'd at least PM me and give me a heads up it was coming, so I could have downloaded everything.

Freedom of speech my fucking ass!!!

Well, ain't this the most vile steaming piece of horseshit that I ever read. Fuck the government trying to dictact our lives!

move the site and forum to another country like Denmark or Sweden aka. server change ! ! !

I recommend Sweden !

Hey, don't go off on Q, blame the Christian Wrong. And Bush to some extent. He's pandering again.

I think he took off Hot Male Sex Pics. I still say this is total bullshit. Let's just do it anyway, just to give the Christian wrong the middle finger!

And, why should it even matter? This is a adult-theme message board and website. It's not like a Disney page. I just think all this guideline stuff is bullshit!

It IS bullshit, but it's legal bullshit. So, if the admins and moderators allowed illegal images to be posted, they'd run the risk of Literotica being shut down entirely.

But fear not! The Intarweb being what it is cannot be fully regulated and with a few deft keystrokes into the right search engines...voila! The smut of your dreams.

I did not remove your thread. If you want to complain about the decision, you should address the matter with Laurel and Manu.

You are correct. Literotica has to comply with the law, whether we agree with it or not, or risk being shut down. The current federal campaign against adult sites is no small matter. They are looking for excuses to purge "pornographic content" from the internet, and Lit is definitely a big enough site to be on their radar screen.

To her credit, Laurel was warning that this day would come for a long time, but apologists for the current regime refused to take her concerns seriously.

Anyone familiar with Heinlein's work? I consider this to be yet another harbinger of the Crazy Years.

if the thread contained copyrighted images they had every right to remove it, stop fuckng bitching

in the TS picture thread they could just remove the copyrighted pictures. Instead of going insane.

The first time it was removed was because of copyrighted pics,when it sprung up again there were no marked pics.So what was the reason for removing it a second time,while leaving other threads with provocative pics alone.

Perhaps the display of graphic butt sex, genitalia, and other sexual acts. Sorry, but under current guidelines anything more than suggestive is not permitted.

The "Yes it can get more Phallic" thread on the GB will probably be next.

It's not about protecting children.

Naw, the insipid little pud-whacker doesn't bother me at all with such trite antagonisms. A slug. *grins*

What I find disturbing about the whole removal of the thread is it being on this board and singled out. It was started with the idea of increasing traffic on GLBT and hopefully expanding folks knowlege of our issues and concerns. That it did, along with Pookie's thread.

It could have been edited to leave the non-explicit porn and erotic art. That it was entirely removed is what REALLY pissed me off. And the obvious selective nature of the censure. That's bullshit.

*yawn*

so start another thread then.... it's not like anything in there was worth saving... do you go back .. re-read what was posted 8 months ago and masturbate all over again?

grow-up.. quite whining about words on a screen that can be duplicated again and quit crying about a free website even though apparently you can't live without it.....

Your thread was not singled out, for political reasons, or for any reason other than that it violated the site's rules. If you beleive that no one else has had threads removed, I suggest you ask about it on the AmPics Forum.

As for editing only the noncompliant pictures from the thread, Lit is a free site. It does not employ the kind of paid staff it would require to go through thousands of posts a day, checking each one for compliance. Instead, the administrators rely on the often dissapointed hope that the members will behave as responsible adults.

Ok, I've calmed down enough now. I know there are plenty of other threads that could be and might be removed for violition of the guidelines.

If I had the key to do the editing, I'd have taken the time to do it myself, instead of losing the entire thread. That's not possible, so we live with things the way they are for now. It's for certain not the end of the world. There are many more important things to concern ourselves with right now politically and socially.

People need to take a stand for democracy. All of it, not just the right to view porn. I do and I know you do. Take care my friend.
