I've been at many breakfasts. Most by myself, but often with others as well. I usually do better than average, however tomorrow I'm thinking of something more generic. Like toast. But I need help. Butter? Margarine? Jam? Cream cheese? And what about consistency? Lightly toasted, medium, well done?

Anyway, help a brotha out. Breakfast is tomorrow and time is of the essence.

Whole wheat, butter, and sundried tomatoes... food of champions.

But forget breakfast and get writing. Give us more Jessica as promised.

Can't help. I don't eat bread. The closest I get is my soy based kefir with protein powder. Yummmm. I don't get many people to join me with that...

Oh! Put some home made appricot/pineapple jam on it. Delicious, just made some. And don't over cook the toast, just lightly browned is fine thankyou.

I like sourdough toast with a little butter, and lots of strawberry jam. Another option would be a nice bagel with lox, red onions, cream cheese, and capers. If you really want to indulge, get the little bisquite toasty things, some boiled egg, red onions, and cavier. Now we're talking real food here. :)

Italian bread well toasted, and wipe a clove of garlic lightly over the bread, then a little olive oil and fresh cracked pepper. Or add sliced fresh tomatoes with fresh sweet basil to that. Then put some crumbled feta on it.

You said toast, didn't you?

A lightly toasted english muffin with a nice spread of butter and orange marmalade.

:)

Seeing as how so much bread comes pre-sliced these days, just take a slice from the bag, put it in the toaster and pull the thing-a-majiggy down. In a little bit, your bread will have transformed into toast. The wonders of modern technology, I tell ya.

In the case of un-sliced bread, simply slice the bread, using a nice saw-cut action, with your handy-dandy bread knife. Follow directions above.

This sounds very good to me. Do they by any chance make sugar free marmalade?

Depends on what you mean by sugar.....

I suppose they could make it with orange-blossom honey.....

ooolaaaaaahhhhhhh

That still has sugar in it.

But maybe just a little bit won't hurt...

All fruits have some sugar/fructose in it....but yes, they make a "sugar-free" marmalade.

Smuckers brand makes a "low sugar" (50% less sugar and calories) orange marmalade and a "light sugar-free" (80% less calories) orange marmalade made with NutraSweet.

Hope this helps.
