personally, i don't know or care whether it's a learned or a genetic predisposition, they(the molesters) need to be delt with.

death is not a deterent to someone like that, it would just drive them further underground.

so what to do with them? until medical science can come up with a treatment they do need to be isolated from our children.
how we do that is also another question. prison, penal colonies, dig a giant hole somewhere and stick them in it, i sure don't have an answer.

This is one of those things that does make one literally sick to one's stomach. I'm disgusted at the lighter sentence for the female accomplice. "Malign influence" no doubt was present, but to suggest that she was somehow unable to act differently is ridiculous. I'm willing to accept that people sometimes do not think their actions out clearly and indeed may be infuenced to do things that they would not have done on their own, but unless the woman is mentally impaired, I can't accept that an adult could be so thoroughly under another person's sway as not to know that assisting in the rape of a baby is an abhorrent crime.

I can tell you that it is not genetic. From my experience, only a very small percentage of any population is fully functional criminally insane.

It may be a learned behavior. In most primitive societies they put fully functional criminally insane to death at an early age. Actually, in some societies at least males are trained to be fully functional criminally insane. The Masai people of 50 years ago Africa were an example. At a certain age every physically able male is exiled to the forest outside his village. His job is to acquire cattle from other tribes, mainly by murdering any member of the other tribe who attempts to resist. When enough cattle have been obtained, they were driven to the village and there would be a big party with lots of sex. Then it was back to the forest until the next cattle drive.

I would tell you that I doubt that abuse tends to spawn the fully functional criminally insane. Most of the examples that I have encountered were abusers, not abused. The main abuse they encountered was other people fighting back.
