A lot of my "comments" Pearl are Canadian stereotypes that Americans have of us.

I don't watch hockey, for example. Our police are not the RCMP, those are a separate force. "Timmy's" is a Canadian doughnut chain, very big and "Double-Double" means a coffee with 2 creams, 2 sugars. Our weather in Ontario is not any colder than many American cities - comparable to Buffalo NY.

And some of those were "Bob & Doug" jokes, based on the old SCTV sketches starring Dave Thomas & Rick Moranis.

And yes, "hoser" was a popular expressions some years ago "Getting Hosed" meant being swindled. It got revived by Bob & Doug.
