Just wondering do any out ther have a "special play area" in which they play other than the bed room?

I mean we have kids so we can't leave our set up all the time and we can't wait till the day come when we can.

But anyhow we have a place in the basement in which we qickly convert over to a "den" I have holes drilled in one "I" beam to hang from and a spanking bench under cover most of the time out of site.

Don't ya hate when you misspell a title and can't go back and change it.....

I rather like the hotel thing. I have a nosy teenager at home, so I pretty much leave the house.

Don't that kinda suck? I mean sure you have your privacy but you have to haul everything there and set up..

Our shit is a real pain in the ass and I only take in down two sets of stairs......The trouble is worth it.;)

Problem with the hotel, is getting a knock on the door, when I have been too loud......

It is. I have a couple of huge bags that I have to pack. And I still have not gotten a bag bigenough for the spreader bars. I usually put them in a long box.

And yes, it is definitely worth it.:D

i am one of the lucky ones here. i live in a little one bedroom condo of which the bedroom, living room, and kitchen have been converted into play areas. my friends are all (finally) accustomed to seeing handcuffs casually dangling from a chair leg or the riding crop poking out of the toy bag (i can squeeze it in, but it bends the leather tip). so my whole habitat, i'd say.

I'm in search for a perfect spreader bar case at the moment. Hub being an avid fisherman, I seem to recall something I've seen before in the past. It's a long case used to carry deteatchable rods. May be perfect for crops, canes and bars, if I can find one.

Right now, my play area is the bedroom (with beams exposed) and the den. No worries about the kids yet. :)

Don't Writer Dom use a rifle case or a bow case?
Would one of them work for you?

That sounds like a good solution, I will try to find one too.

Especially with inquiring minds about the house!

Don't know about bow cases, but don't rifle cases usually have padding? That may limit what can be packed.

Pretty sure they do but you can remove it or leave it there and it would hold the bars in place and keep them from making noise.

Hrm.... i happen to live in the la (Los Angeles) area, and we have a few dungeons with lots of play space to go to.. But, when we play privately, we usually do so at my house.. I live in a rather large house in the middle of no where... with many exposed beams... Also, we do play at his place.. but i can't scream my head off due to it being an apartment building.. :(

I pack light, and try to have as little paraphenalia involved as possible, but a place to go, and do it is nice. I'm not so much worried about people finding my hardware, everyone who knows me is aware of what a kinky bastard I can be. On the other hand, I don't like interruptions, especially from the cops who can often misinterpret what's going on.
Privacy can be hard to ensure, especially when you don't have you'r own space. My current living situation isn't exactly set up for it, so I usually have to carry my stuff. I can't complain too much, I was homeless before I got here. I kind of like the whole motion of pulling some of the more nasty things out of my bag, and calmly talking to the subject who's already tied down. It has a nice way of getting both of us in the mood.
The hotel thing is a reasonable compromise, and adds a measure of safety. You can't really "get a room" these days without walking in front of cameras, and providing ID. For those of you out there with misgivings about meeting a stranger with his own pair of handcuffs, and a selection of whips, it can put the mind more at ease.
My main problem with hotel rooms is that they seem intentionally set up to discourage that king of thing. I can understand, but it would be nice to have access to a bed that you can strap someone too with less than 20 minutes of set up time.
