Nebs wasn’t a daily poster in my song challenge, but she usually stopped by when she was around. I was inspired by the clip of her playing guitar to go back through the challenge and compile her additions into a playlist. (I also included songs that she replied with enthusiastic love for)

Additionally, I found a post from her that I hadn’t seen when it was posted. She was talking about seeing Weezer at the Palladium. Iykyk. I so wish I would have seen that post and chatted with her about it.

For the prompt “A song that reminds me of myself,” Nebs posted Modest Mouse - Float On. She added “maybe it’s a song I must remind myself of on a frequent basis.”

Don’t worry, we’ll all float on…

I love this. Thank you for doing all of it, mlas. I have said you can learn a lot about a person by their song choices. I love this as an audio cenotaph, and I am going to listen through it tonight and remember her. Thank you.

Nebs, as we refer to her here on the Lit forum, was my friend and will be remembered fondly. I wish we had more time.

My most precious memories of her surprised me every time. I have this poetry thread. Occasionally, I post stuff on it. Imagine my surprise when sexy, sassy, funny as fuck Nebs comes by and visits and expresses her appreciation. I know, weird, but, still, it was unexpected, and genuine.

Wow…not sure what to say. Interacted with her both publicly and privately, although nothing more than exchanging humorous witty banter that she was so adept at. Always seemed so sweet, positive and upbeat. Way too young too. Such sad news.

Yeah. I once got a random message from her because I had been keeping ill and she wrote me a long message telling that I’d better take care of my health. She was unselfish and beautiful inside and out.
