Pirate

A wave hit the ship and Lilly still held on, until she felt the captain pulling her down from the mast, she looked at The Siren and she said,'I don't know who you are but you don't look strong enough to hold on. But I can see the determination in your eyes boy. You cut this one I will get the other one so it gets done faster and don't worry no one is going to lose me'. In reply Lilly nodded and went up to the other sail, holding her Uncle's rapier in her hand. She looked down and saw everyone rushing about in almost a panic like fashion, they were counting on her. She continued upwards and cut the rope that held the sails. She looked at The Siren, who seemed to be having some trouble. Another wave hit the ship, throwing it off balance, Lilly yelled at the captain, "Cap'n are you alright?"

Serena held on for dear life. Wave after wave hit her knocking her sideways as she began cutting the sail free. She heard the boy's voice reach her asking if she was alright "I'm fine" she would have added more but a huge gust of wind took her breath away. Gripping with one hand and cutting with the other she did her best to hold on but she knew she didnt have much time. Her wound made her right arm almost useless making it very difficult to cut. But she had to survive. No simple storm would take out the Siren, she would not allow. Gritting her teeth she went to cutting with a new sense of Vigor doing her best to ignore the waves that treatened to plummet her into the raging ocean.

OOC: Roland feel free to join when you want :) we could use other crew members or another captain with a ship, it's up to you.

Muscles screaming in protest to the strain Robert was putting them into to hold the ship steady into the wind, he watched with a horrified sense of dread as his beloved captain climbed the mast and began to saw one handedly at the sails. "God, let her be safe..." he thought desperately as another wave battered the ship forcing his eyes back to the raging sea. Gritting his teeth he reset his stance to keep the ship straigh,t cursing and praying to god to let her live...

Rocky held on, as the storm blasted at the ship. It was horrific, something he had never seen in his life. A storm for the ages. He hurried to the side, puking up the earlier dinner he ate. He grabbed onto the railing, in an instant he was on one side of the ship, and then as the wave struck, he was flung to the other. One hand holding onto the railing, Rocky was looking down a thirty foot wave. He had almost been washed overboard. The down part of the wave was huge. Bigger than anything he had seen in his life. It shook him to the core, as he pulled himself up.
Laying on the deck of the ship, he embraced himself as another wave shook the the ship.
He looked up, Lilly and the captain were up there. They were both braver than he'd ever be. The storm didn't seem to show any sign of stopping. He called to the people below deck, telling them all to come out. This was the sort of storm you didn't want anyone below deck who shouldn't be.
Grabbing onto a rope, he tied it around himself. Even if he did wash off, he'd be all right.
He looked up, hoping Lilly was all right as well.

Serena finally finished cutting the sail a smile formed on her lips. One of satisfaction, one that soon disapeared a another wave hit her knocking her to the side. Gripping the mast she slowly climbed down doing her best to hold on. She reached the bottom with a sense of victory but that was short lived. At that moment a enormous wave hit the ship tilting it sideways. She went sliding across the deck hitting the rail full force. She flipped over and fell strait into the raging sea. Her hands shot out for anything to grab onto. She managed to grab a rope that was tied to a lifeboat as she hit the water. Gripping it for dear life she struggled to keep her head above the water but it was a losing battle. "Help! Robert!" she called but it was weak and muffled by water going into her mouth. She closed her eyes and concentrated on holding on praying someone had seen her go over board.

Lilly held on tightly as waves hit the ship, she looked over to the captain and saw her get down safely. Though the storm wasn't over yet. Another huge wave hit the ship and sent the captain overboard. At the top of her lunges she yelled, "THE CAP'N WENT OVERBOARD!!!" She crawled down off the mast, the sails were successfully cut. She ran across the deck as fast as she could and yelling, "THE CAP'N WENT OVERBOARD!!!" She hoped that The Siren could hold on untill help arrived.

Robert

Even as Lilly began yelling about the captain, Robert was acting. He had seen her get off the mast safely only to watch in horror as she went over the side from a wave. Mouth open in a silent scream he let go of the wheel as he rushed to the side of the ship where the captain had gone over. Seizing a hawser rope he tied it around his waste as he ran and reaching the railing he slashed a barrel free with his knife and threw the barrel over board and dove after it. Hitting the water felt like running into a stone wall at full speed, but he struggled onward through the raging seas. Reaching the surface he grabbed the barrel and searched for something. Looking at the now listing ship since he had let go of the wheel he saw a lifeboat nearby him, and striking out for it he hoped to find some evidence of the captain. As he fought the seas he saw a rope trailing into the water behind the boat taut instead of slack like it should have been and this spurred him to even greater effort. Swimming towards it he prayed to god that she was safe...

ooc: When the storm Scene is over, I Think I'll come in as a Former Captain of a Wrecked Ship...Sound OK?

OOC: sounds great Roland :)

IC: Serena was becoming weak, her arms beginning to lose grip. Just as she was about to let go Robert grabbed her arm. She held onto his tightly with a renewed sense of strength. Holding on tight she felt a new surger of love and thankfulness that Robert was here. Sending up a prayer of thanks She finally felt like they would survive this storm.

Rocky helped Lilly down, making sure she was ok. He checked her for cuts or bruises. He couldn't help but smile, to make sure she was ok.
"Come on, the captain went overboard."
He walked to the back of the boat, looking. There the captain, behind, and trailing fast. Rocky felt the boat tip greatly as another wave came forward. He looked in horror, the ship was facing the wrong way. Anyone who even claimed to call themselves a sailor knew the boat was supposed to go at a 45 degree angle to the waves. It was heading parrellel, they would capsize.
In an instant he grabbed the wheel, turning the boat around as hard as he could. The ship came about, slowly. Like a bad dream it didn't seem to go fast enough. Rocky watched the wave hit them with a renewed force. He grimaced as the ship hauled over, daringly to the side. He could see the bottom of the water, it was completely turned around. They were going to tip, they were going to capsize.
They hit the crest of the wave, and the boat righted itself with a thunderous splash. Rocky watched as he turned the boat to the right angle. The fifty foot wave was right there, and they were barrelling down into the valley of it. The ship, going speeds only dreamt of by other people, raced through the water.
The waves began disappating, the rain stopped, and most of the storm was over. In the distance, Rocky could even see places where the sun was coming out. In less than ten minutes the storm was over.
Rocky looked back at Lilly, "Please tell me your ok."

Finally Over

Lilly held on and watched Rocky manuver the ship. It rocked back and forth, and as it did she looked over the edge for the captain and the firstmate. Her eyes scanned the area and shouted for both the captain and the firstmate. Her hair stuck to her face and neck, it was quite a shower and the ship was decently damaged. She heard Rocky asking her questions, "Rocky I'm alright, just a few bumps and bruises....and a little wet." She grinned, she wasn't wet, she was soaked to the bone. She hugged him, he had saved the ship from crashing and flooding. Lilly knew the captain would be proud, if she was alright. She had her hopes high that both the captain and the first mate were alright.

OOC:

I simply must join this... so exciting... the sea... pirates... ships! Please??? Pretty please??? Can I can I? [grins hopefully]

Lady Siren... I'll throw in this post but am happy to withdraw it if it's not what you want... [smiles and waves]

IC:

On a sandy shore... of a remote uncharted island two exquisite people stood. One male. One female.

They watched in silence as the storm raged far out at sea. From their much calmer stand point it was a sight to behold. The waves and grey clouds rolled like a boiling cauldren.

Janvar, the man, was tall and lithe, much like his female companion Giselle. They both had the bronzed skin of people who had spent much time in the sun.

Janvar leant on a spear as he watched the clouds in the distance. Giselle carried a crudely woven basket in which she carried several crabs she had found for the feast that night. She too looked out stoically lost in her own thoughts. They came from a tribe that saw no need for excessive speech. In fact most of their language had deteriorated to simple vocabulary that was enhanced by fluid hand movements.

Janvar turned to Giselle, admiring her profile before touching her arm. She turned and smiled and nodded at some unspoken agreement and they turned away from the strom to disappear into the trees.

Tomorrow they would return and see what the mother ocean had brought them.

Robert

With a gasp of relief Robert hauled the Siren aboard the now alone life boat. He couldn't help but be thankful to God that he had been able to find Serena in the sea holding onto the rope of the lifeboat with a death grip. Now sitting in the bottom of the boat holding her close to ward off the chill that would soon set in (or so he thought desperately to himself) he prayed a prayer of thanks to all gods above. They sat there for who knows how long, but soon the rain slackened off and the sun soon made an effort to be seen....

Looking down at his beloved captain Robert felt a surge of relief as she gripped him tightly about his waist. Sighing in happiness he looked down into her eyes and spoke... "Captain, my lady, I mean, Serena? I.. I.. I think I need to say this now, before anything else happens.... I, I Love You. 'onest, as god as my witness..... I love you..." he said, and slowly he lowered his lips towards her beautiful rose red lips.........

Serena had lost conciousness for a moment and when she came to she was in a life boat being held in Robert's arms. Then she heard him speak "Captain, my lady, I mean, Serena? I.. I.. I think I need to say this now, before anything else happens.... I, I Love You. 'onest, as god as my witness..... I love you..." She blinked several times sure that she had misheard. This wasn't right, she must be dreaming again. But the kiss he press to her lips felt nothing like a dream, the heat that spread through her from the kiss was definatly not a dream. Her lips pressed back against his as she threaded her fingers into his hair. when it ended she dazedly gazed up into his eyes. Before she could tell him how she felt the lifeboat was raised up onto the ship.

OOC: Moneytalks of course you can join, the more the merrier :)

OOC:

oooh... thank you Lady Siren... [huggles]... pleasure to be joining you... [smiles]

Giselle.

Giselle listened to the drums. The drums beating like a communal heart beat steady and constant.

The tribe had gathered for the great feast in honour of the Mother Ocean. There was a feeling of palatable excitment in the air. Any feast was a reason for excitment... but this was the first night that the Feast for the Mother Ocean fell on a full moon. Mother Ocean was sure to bring them much bounty this night.

The drums were slowly but surely increasing in tempo. She watched as female friends started their age old ritual dance. Slowly moving in circles... their lithe bodies glowing golden in the light of the large fire that sat in the centre of the clearing used for special community events such as this. Their hair decorated with strings of pearls and other treasures that had over time been swept ashore.

Giselle sat aside, her part was yet to come. She, the most respected of women from the tribe... the fifth daughter of Queen Azurel. She had proven herself an important member of the community. Her natural instincts to heal as well as her uncanny ability to hunt for food.

Janvar approached her and knelt smoothly in front of her. He offered his hand silently. It was time to lead her over to the tribal elders and offer her up as that nights image of the Mother Ocean. She had washed her hair and while it was still wet the other women had with skillfull fingers weaved fine gold and silver chains into her long locks.

She glimmered now with every step she took and the drums slowed their tempo becoming softer as people turned to admire their Mother Ocean as she walked forward to receive her gifts from the tribal elders. The ceremony was simple but held a wealth of meaning. Gifts carefully exchanged. Giselle performed without fault. Finally she knelt before the elders and lowered her forhead to each of their feet in turn.

As she finished the elder's placed their combined hands on her head and shoulders. A slow chant started... growing in voice and number. The sound was joined by the drums until the sound was bigger than all of them. Engulfing them in a steadily increasing tempo. When it finally reached a cresendo there was dead silence. Everyone waited unmoving for the sign.

A great coloured bird squawked loudly. The sound sad and lonely. Suddenly it flew into the clearing and glided towards the elders and Giselle. It's great wings expanded and flapped once as it turned. Giselle felt the feather touch of it's wing against her cheek before it disappeared into the dense jungle.

People cried out. It was a good sign. A very prosperous sign. The Elder's nodded in agreement and the feast began. Much food and drink was consumed. Much merriment enshued. They were a hard working tribe and took their feasts most seriously. This was a time for abandoment and joy.

Rocky set the heading for west exactly. He thought that was the best, since west was where they were heading in the first place. Although, with how the ship was now, he knew the captain would stop at the closest place they could find. With how the ship was, it would only be a week before they were either dead or sunk.
He went to the back of the ship, glancing over at the small lifeboat. The wooden vessel flattered against the small waves, which weren't that small for such a tiny ship. Rocky nodded over to Lilly as the began reeling the ship in.
It was the captain and the first mate. They both looked tired and near death. Rocky hauled them in as fast as he could. Soon they were onboard, with warm blankets over them. Rocky looked them over, they seemed all right.
"Hey, I'll go and make some of my fresh clam chowder, that'll warm everyone up."
In an instant, Rocky was gone, preparing, and cooking. His childlike innocence gone, replaced by a determined feeling to cook chowder.

*About a mile or so away from their ship (For lady siren and crew), Three Longboats drifted along the sea, a Tall, lanky, handsome looking man, wearing a captians coat, Long Baggy pants and a white Frilled shirt, He was helping row one of the boats as they came ever closer to the ship, all of the men within looked haggerd and some were nursing wounds, All in all they were rather rag tag, but in the back of every longboat there was a Sizeable Woodenchest, And all of the men were well armed, some with flintlock guns and others with swords, all however looked to be very strong and bronzed from much time in the sun, as the boats neared the ship, the man wearing the captians coat stood up and bellowed*

AHOY THERE!!! SHIP AHOY!!!

*his voice was strong and basslike, As he crossed his arms and watched as they drew nearer*

Be There Any aboard?! Ahoy There!! Ship Ahoy!!!

Robert

Robert was in a daze as he and the captain were led to her cabin where they were greeted by Lilly and Thorunn. Smiling with relief Thorunn hugged Robert and told them that he would take care of the ship for now. Just then a voice was heard hailing the ship, and Robert looking at Serena's state decided to act. "Thorunn? Could you and Rocky, along with this able sailor (pointing to Lilly) see what the yelling is all about? And treat them well if they are to be guests. I don't think the captain or I will be in any shape to handle visitors for the rest of today. Oh, and make sure Rocky's chowder gets here soon." smiling he watched as Thorunn and Lilly saluted and left to handle the situation.

Looking over at Serena he saw that she was dozing on her bed, and sighing he stood up and went to her. "My love" he said as he gently woke her, "We need to get that wound stitched up, again, and get you into some dry clothes." he finished. Soon enough the wound was closed and Robert stood looking out the windows in the back of the cabin as she changed. "Serena?" he asked as she came up behind him, "I wish I had been able to tell you sooner how I felt" was all he could say when he looked into her eyes...

'Thorunn? Could you and Rocky, along with this able sailor (pointing to Lilly) see what the yelling is all about? And treat them well if they are to be guests. I don't think the captain or I will be in any shape to handle visitors for the rest of today. Oh, and make sure Rocky's chowder gets here soon.' The first mate said to her and the other guy, he called her a seaman, well it's about damn time someone did. She saluted him and walked out of the cabin up on deck, Thoruun wasn't much of a talker, Lilly could tell, she was like that, atleast for the past couple of days. Out into the open with fresh air, she took a small wiff of it and walked over to the side, looking at the person who seemed to be captain, "Ye didn't need ta yell 'hat loud, and if people weren't abroad this ship it wouldn't be sailin' at all." Lilly had to throw in the accent, she had to act more of a boy here to convince others that if she was tough enough to survive pirate battles, she was tough enough to be one of the crew. "Give me yer name and the business ye have with the likes of us," she grinned a bit, the captain of these lifeboats was kinda.....no she will not fall for a lost seadog, that's the last thing she needs. She had her hand on her rapier just in case they did try something, seeing that they are armed and all.

Serena stood behind Robert unsure of what to say. "Robert since I have met you I have been in love with you. I know it isn't seemly for us to be together but I can't deny my feelings any longer" Gazing into his eyes she let all her love and desire flow into that look.

Ar Good Lady, But I've seen many a ship devoid of her crew after such a Storm as we just had....Still sailin on w'out troubles....But that be besides me point.

*With a flourish and a bow*

Cap'n Grey Wolfenstien, Atcherr Service, This be what remains of me crew....M'ship sunk after that Gull whacker of a storm....we managed to get away tho...

Ar, I be wonderin if we could Come aboard an Len' a Hand till we can reach A town or Summat....Seein as how Rowin to a town on low supplys iddnt verry smart...wouldncha Say Lassie?

*He seemed to have immediatly taken a shining to her, and seemed to have the general assent of his crew, who only grinned at him and smiled, giving small pirity hellos and waves*

Robert

Looking into Serena's eyes he felt the full force of her love for him, and it made him glad. In reply to her statement he nodded and spoke: "The crew's tough, and besides alot of the men have wives or at least lovers stashed somewhere among these islands, why should we both be denied our loves?" when he finished he stepped forward and wrapped his large and heavily scarred arms around her, and placing his lips on her forehead he kissed her then said "Cap'n, I'll always love ya, and be by yer side no matter what, even if I was to die, I'd come back somehow for ya." and with that he rested his head on hers and just held her tighter...
