Ok, I'm curious about this, has anyone on here had their clit or nipples pierced?

What happened when you got it done? For fear of sounding naive, did you have to be aroused for them to pierce your clit? I don't know anyone with a piercing well enough to ask these questions...

Does it really enhnce sex or is it just a novelty?

And as for the nipples, does it kill sensitivity? I have my ears pierced, but the lobes didn't have lot of feeling anyhow...

Sometimes I think I am too old to be this uninformed...

I can't say for sure about those piercings but I do love my tongue ring! I know for a fact that it enhanced my hubby's pleasure during oral sex. I have some friends who have the piercings that you have mentioned and there are some risks involved. If they hit the wrong nerve in your clit...BAM...no sensation! I have had some of my friends tell me that they had an instant orgasm at the moment of the piercing. From what I understand, there are similar risks for nipple piercings. You should do some medical research before you make any final decisions.

think about all the bodily fluids around your clit. Think about being out and about on a hot day, getting a little sweaty, a little turned on...imagine discharge thrown in the mix. Now think about how dirty your peircing would get. How attractive is a puss filled hole in the general area of your vagina? Those piercings never truely heal. And why mess with nipples? You put a hole in them and they heal with a big hunk of scar tissue in the middle when you take them out.

If you want the thrill, look into fake jewelry, clamps, and things of that nature. They arent permanent and they wont mess up what is already perfect. Plus, you wont have to deal with cleaning them or worring if your body rejects them.

Yep, lovechild, I've thought about all that stuff. Although, I don't think of my bodily fluids as dirty... and hopefully a lover who might go down on me wouldn't either... I mean maybe, if showers were mandatory, say... twice a year... whether you need it or not... Well then, peeee yew!

I was really being nosy anyhow.

I'm pretty modest, so the notion that I would bare myself to anyone other than my lover or Dr is far removed.

I didnt mean dirty in an ewww...gross! kind of way. I ment dirty in a microscopic sort of way. Anything you put on a peircing can make it infected...

If you are really interested in getting a piercing I can't recommend this site highly enough. http://www.tribalectic.com. It's an amazing resource that should be able to answer all of your questions. I got my naval pierced about five weeks ago and while I am very happy with it, I was somewhat surprised at the amount of effort it takes to ensure proper healing. It's not something to be done lightly as it is your body after all. But do the research and if you think you can make the necessary commitment to good after care then hey go for it and enjoy!
