O.k. I downloaded the new version of the Kodak Picture CD and it transfered every pic that was on my hard drive to the new version. Not just the pics we have on our Picture CD, but all the av's I use, dragon pics my hubby saved, etc...Whenever I try to bring up those pictures, a box pops up saying that the picture cd is busy doing something else and to try again. Now, whenever I try to download a picture and save it to my floppy, it transfers it to the CD and I can't bring them up.

I have looked for a setting to try to stop it from converting all my pics and I can't find one. I also can't find a place to uninstall the cd so I go back to using the old version. Has anyone had this same problem or does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for reading.

It sounds like KPCD has usurped the file associations for all image formats. You need to reassign back to a less demanding program.

Putting th file associations back to whatever they were before can be a pain if you try to do it type by type, but luckily, there are several image programs that can do the job quickly for you.

IrfanView ( www.irfanview.com ) is a very good image management utility that is free. Install it, (or just open it if it's already installed) and go to Options/Set File Associations and check everything that you don't want PCD to handle. Irfanview will them be your default image viewer for anything checked and be used to open them when you double click on an icon.
