Temp piercings heal in a matter of a couple days - gone, scabs and all - because piercing needles are so sharp that they just sorta part the skin thus causing very little peripheral damage. If you use a smaller gauge needle than MS and play with (we use 12 to 10 gauge, usually, and the smaller the gauge, the larger the diameter of the needle; for comparasion, regular ear piercings like you'd have done at the mall are usually about 18 gauge or so), the healing will be even faster.

And yes, you can most definitely repierce the area. I've had my nipples and labia pierced repeatedly. MS, too, has done repeated piercings of his nipples and balls, as well as two or three PA's by now, too.
