Photography thread...

As usual, fantastic work, Cat :)

Thanks...think my son and I will go in together this week and I will take the new camera this time, and try and resist the temptation to buy the other 2 figures in the same bronze series that I can't get out of my head...they are beautiful. LOL, the same shop also had some kinky ones I wouldn't mind getting at least one of for my daughter...actually would like one myself but not sure F would appreciate them in our living room.:D

We spent the weekend at the river. Most of the pictures I took had people in them, but I got a few seconds to just take some pictures of the sandy river.

And this is 'the fairie house' that my daughter and another little girl made.

Looks like a nice place to spend some quality down time...love the fairy house!:)

Oh, that would be fun!! I usually end up having people with me who don't see a purpose in taking pics and keep asking how long I will be or think if I take one photo that is enough and want to get going again. My son is not bad though, and even has begun taking his own photos at times...lol, I'll get him addicted to photography yet.:D

I love your shots, and that is the type of landscape I would love shooting in the US. Diversity of landscape and wildlife is one thing I miss here, but it is forcing me to photograph buildings, people, transport more...all things I did before but in small doses usually, so the experience is good.

That was my favorite picture of the bunch, but I didn't figure anyone else would go for it. I like it cause it's just so freaken cute that the girls spent so much time making that house. :D

But, yeah, it's a gorgeous spot. We spend almost all our summer there.

I love children's imagination. I had fun listening to my grand daughter on my last visit home and it wasn't until the last week there she made me realise I had more of my father in me than I thought, and that I had started her also on the same path. My father had a great affinity with animals (as has my son, both pets and wild animals were/are attracted to them in a very unusual and loving way)..anyway, my father used to tell me stories as a child which were animal based and all his own creation. It extended to his daily life in that he would talk to animals. comment on what he felt they were thinking and/or saying just in his daily comings and goings. While I was in Oz, I was constantly mentioning things animals/insects were thinking/saying without realising it. I was showing her an online pic of one of my cats in the last week and she piped up all excited 'What was she thinking in that photo Nanna, what did she say?'. Stopped me in my tracks when I realised...that trip had a couple of strange things happen, one being that when I arrived at my mother's house, the next morning the birds came and sat at the back door making a racket just as they used to do for my father every morning and evening...my mother says they have not done that since he died, until my visit, and they came each day throughout my stay. Uncanny.

Not sure, but think you make it private, then take the album you want to show and make it public.

lol now I am confused.

I just want to show a sunset, but I don't want to post the url incase by changing the number on the end, people could look at everything! *grins*

ok, am I being overly paranoid?

Awesome colours! Reminds me of the sunset in Koh Phangan... I took some pics but my camera definately didn't do it justice.

I have loads of them......I'm no photographer but I can't resist sunsets.

It was taken about 7 weeks ago. I saw it peeping above the tops of roofs and hot footed down to the end of the road and it was just stunning.

I liked the way it seemed to turn the water red

omg I love those pictures. There is so much energy in them!

Blimey I sound very arty *nods*

Um, you are cool. Your friends look cool. Your pictures are cool. I wanna be your friend.

Only problem is I'm not cool though
