I am an amateur photographer. I have contemplated advertising offering nude photo shoots for women. Im curious as to how many women out there are actually interested in being photographed nude. I feel like most women don't have a problem being photographed by their s/o during sex, but posing and showing their body as art may make it different. Let me know what yall think.

My wife did it recently. It was in lingerie though. Professionally done, they turned out nice. I’ve chatted with photographers before that started with sexy shoots that then ended up doing nudes.

I’m willing to bet that if you’re in a big enough market you’d have success. Good luck and keep us posted!

Yeah I'm not in a big market. That's what I was thinking was a big market would make it a #s game but outside of that I am curious about the demand. I will update any progress tho. Thanks for the input

I wish you all the best. . . I'm fairly new here but the wonderful women that get posted here are all beautiful. The strength and courage that it takes to be photographed nude is amazing! I'm a 52 year old white guy. . . Honesty I don't think I could do it! But I am proud and respect the women that do! They should all know that there are still men out there that love their beauty!

I have modelled for a professional photographer. Was a last minute stand in for a photographer who plays golf occasionally with my husband. He had a model let him down. I was as nervous as hell but he was reassuring and professional and the pictures came out great.

That is wonderful! You, like I said, have so much courage to do that! Men and maybe women too I guess love looking at pictures. Pictures that make them feel warm and feel like they maybe aren't so different than everyone else. Everyone is too uptight about our bodies. You doing what you did help with that! Thank you!

I would really like to end up shooting more sexual nudes. Capturing women exploring their sexuality in a sensual way. I dont want to photograph some chick's fishing themselves or just masturbating with the biggest dildo they think they can take, but rather capture those moments when they realize what really gets them aroused and learning about their bodies

I get it! Art! Just women being women. Looking wonderful like they do. They don't even have to be nudes. A well fitting dress or heals and sexy legs. I love women wearing chokers! I DNW but that is just sexy to me!

My wife had a set of boudoir photos done for our 25th anniversary. If you'd like to break photographing women as art, I would start there. Let the model decide how far she wants to go. The guy my wife used was a total pro, had his own wife present, as well as a professional makeup artist. Lisa was totally comfortable and at ease, and that's the key. Worth every penny.

My god that is amazing! Thank you for sharing. Beautiful photo ! God bless to you and you wife!

Gorgeous wife, great photo!

Are you an actual photographer with a portfolio, equipment and access to a studio/a setup at home? If not, you are going to have a hell of a time getting models to sit for even a portrait let alone nudes or anything remotely sexual. There are online portals where models and photogs can connect for test shoots and portfolio building, along with makeup artists, hair styllists, set and wardrobe stylists, etc. Model Mayhem was big back in the day and it's still out there, but it looks nothing like it used to so I don't know how user-friendly it is these days. You just need to find a site that serves the market in the major city closest to you and go from there. Where you advertise will dictate the quality of people you find to work with, but wherever you start, once you build a portfolio to show to future models/creatives you will be able to get more and more experience.

You will have to work hard to make this happen. You have major competition out there - check it out and see if you are ready to throw your hat in. Between boudoir photogs, OnlyFans-focused photogs, the self-obsession of people trying to become a Kardashian via their social media account and those photogs currently building their fashion/commercial/editorial portfolios you will find a ton of competition but also a lot of inspiration online.

The only way to get started, though, is to get started. Shoot regular portraits with people you know, learn the ropes, experiment with lighting, styling, indoor/outdoor shoots, create a portfolio, get it online and go from there. If you're a horny rando with your camera phone, a musty couch and no portfolio, give it up now or just jump on Craig's list and offer women $50 and copies of all images (you will have to pay them, trust me) for a one-hour shoot - and cross your fingers. Good luck!
Well said and great advice.

It is getting more and more difficult to get into this because the equipment is such that now people can just do the photoshoot for themselves. With a tripod and a quality camera set on self-timer, my wife and I did a lot of photoshoots. We had plenty of bad photos granted, but how hard is it to take way more pictures than needed of the same pose, and hit delete on the ones that do not look good? As an example, we might have taken a hundred pictures, in various poses in a photo shoot, and have twenty stunning photos when we were done, but it was enough for us. We had twenty stunning photos after all.

I know both her and I would be very leery of having an amateur do a professional photoshoot, since that seems like an oxymoron to me. The whole reason we would turn to a professional, would be to be assured of professional results. We are amateurs so why not just do it ourselves? This not only assured us nude pictures of her were ALWAYS in our control, it kept her limited to taking off her clothes in front of someone she was married too, and not some creepy guy that might have ulterior motives.

If your serious about going professional however, my suggestion is to go where the money is... doing real estate photoshoots of houses and condos for real estate agents. There is a lot more money in that, then once you are established as a professional photographer, you could branch out into nude photoshoots without coming across as creepy.

That probably sounds harsh, but you have to see it from the model's perspective...or in my case... the husband's perspective. You are on a nude site, admitting you are not a professional, and suggesting taking pictures of members while nude. That would be a hard pass for me because anyone could make that claim. But a professional, with a studio, and a portfolio even if it was of real estate for area agents... I might consider them for a nude photoshoot.

Definitely still an amateur at the moment. The depth of perspective you gave is invaluable. I'm looking to find an avenue where I may be able to turn my amateur status to professional. I was more or less asking as a poll to see if there was a market for this, however, you shed some pretty good light that most people can essentially accomplish this themselves and profit for themselves when it comes to this genre. Wouldn't really call it art myself but I get what your saying. Thanks for the input.

I was semi serious glamour photographer.

About 80 shoots with about 60 models (amateurs to travelling models).

It got noticeably harder to link with models open trade for print shoots from ~ 2016.

Still possible.

Highly recommend paying say 5 models for say 10 shoots to get a decent portfolio, and to practice your technical skills while she does the posing without you needing to micro manage.

Great advice from our members about this. Once you get established there are several outlets you could use for advertisement.

My wife decided to do this after an ad on Insta. The pitch was this photog was going to “Pick” five women in a draw and wonder upon wonders, my wife was picked. I thought this was marketing genius but who knows, she may have actually “won” the draw!

All professional, studio, pro make-up assistant, all women so it was a very relaxed fun experience. Just some food for thought but having a female assistant will help with skittish nerves.

Excellent advice and perspective, Jade.

I think it all depend on if you want to do this for fun or make money. I know a few friends who does it for fun and Hubby got into it after we got marry. He develop his own films and over the years have brought a lot of second hand equipment. I model for him and a couple of my friends also model for him just for fun. If you want to make a living out of it that's another story.

Hubby did mostly black and white photos but sometimes color. He said the chemicals is expensive nowadays.

You are stunningly beautiful. I did a professional shot once.

I did the stand-in thing a long while back for a photography class my husband was taking. Got paid $50 for a few hours of posing for eight people. It was fun and exciting at the time but going back to see the results was kind of amazing. All B+W prints lining the walls, it was quite daunting to see myself mixed in with the other three models.

We've discussed getting a photoshoot done for years. It's just never happened. I think it's a great treasure to keep. I still look back on pictures from 20 years ago. Would love some professional ones to look through. There is a good company in Wales called Mighty Aphrodite Photography who do really nice shots. Good luck with it. It must be a real privilege to photograph someone in their nude form. x

Your scenario is similar to ours. We have talked about it for years. She does not want an amateur and would prefer a woman.
