I think its a marriot now.

hot tubs built into the side of native rock butte.

interior room overlook the pool...and the pool overlooks the rooms, maybe.

You can crash the place pretty easily...some of the locals do. Ignore the valet parking up the hill by the resaurant...

park down the hill in the front and wander in...wear a wrap,, swimsuit....

ha.

I suppose I'd go see the hole, if I were ever in the vicinity. I'm a food tourist though and would spend most of my time bourdainian my way through the region.

Exactly.

You know the stamp tool in Photoshop where you can lift one section of the picture and then just replicate it over and over again that's pretty much how Phoenix metropolitan area was made.

Every corner of that huge canvas is covered with the same subdivisions in the same order with the same little strip malls in the same places.

I haven't been up to carefree in Cave Creek in a long time that might still be nice. Mill Ane in Tempe used to be authentically hippie chic. They tore it all down and build old looking bill Of corporate restaurants like Hooters and Gordon Biersch.

4th Avenue in Tucson is what Mill Avenue used to be 25 years ago.
