I think the fish-o-phobia wins for me. That's intriguing, especially as the dream have continued so long.
I'm not actually afraid of many things. Cockroaches do repulse me, but it's heights and free fall that I can't deal with. I once went to an amusement park with the SO and, like a macho idiot, insisted on going on the ride where they ratchet you up several stories in the air and simply drop you. I have no idea what I thought I was proving. It was a very peculiar and unpleasant feeling - I think my mind actually overloaded with fear and horror shortly after the locks released and we started falling. My whole body went limp and my mind sort of ... spun, and blurred. I staggered away from the ride in a daze and managed to hide behind a tent before I ...Well. Burst into tears, actually, which is extremely embarassing in public.
I've learned my lesson. I no longer feel the need to prove anything in amusement parks, other than my ability not to sob openly in public.

I have a phobia about gristle in sausages - finding a piece can ruin my entire meal. I also have a phobia about walking into a bathroom just after someone's taken a dump. Actually... give me spiders, snakes and heights any day!![]()
This made me remember something that happened to me once, Yui. I live near Mammoth Cave and there are many smaller caves on private property around here. When I was in high school I went with a small spelunking group to a private cave. It was very narrow, the kind you have to slide into on your belly or your back. I was fine with that part, I'm not claustrophic.yui said:I'm not afraid of water, but if I can't straighten myself up to my full height, or move my arms and legs, in just about any circumstance, I can't breathe. Caves, crawlspaces, etc.
