That would have been fun to go out. I was in such a crappy mood today. I could have drove 4 or so hours to get there... LOL

Philly called again after I posted that. They sounded pretty blasted! lol I was so upset that I missed this. But it was so sweet of Philly and VoyeurGirl to call and tell me they were thinking about me!!!

Hopefully, we can arrange another outting again soon!

There was talk of pics...but some of the members requested they not be posted, for good reason! Looks like we are just gonna have to use our imagination!

Well, let me be the first to post..I came late and left early..sort of.
As a newcomer to the group it was quite a blind stab to show up at a bar hoping to recognize a crowd of strangers that I had never met. I'd like to mention for the benefit of those who would have liked to go but chickened out, I can understand your apprehension, but, everyone was warm and friendly. This is an easy group to be a stranger in.....or to be strange in...or whatever.

for the most part the evening went well but as with any group event there was drama. someone could have been clearer with their intentions(nuff said). all in all a fun evening was had and many lessons were learned. perhaps "lit-togethers' are best left as lit-togethers to relieve any ill feeling that may or may not be felt. people can sometimes spread themselves too thin and when this happens people inevitably get hurt. like i said lessons were learned.

paguy610, man you're a trooper to have driven all the way down there. i am sorry it ended so abruptly at the end. and i want to extend my thanks for your being decent enough to get mmmmmary and genie(sp) to a cab and then for dropping them off at their home. you're a good guy.

njswede, you sir are truly a gentleman. my friend and i owe you many a thank you for all you had done last night. we'll talk later.

liv2lik, though we spoke only briefly you seemed nice enough and i apologize for being half drunk in that aborigine place with the weird green drinks. thank you for attending.

philly, you really need to look within yourself and try to figure out what honesty means to you. women are much more than a free ride and or a game to be played. you seem like a genuinely fun person to be around but you need to figure out what it is you want and don't bring others hearts into it leaving them open for hurt.

mmmmmmmmmary and her sister, incase you two now come here to check out what us weirdo's are like i leave you this. it was nice meeting you and i/we do not blame you both for any of the events that played out during our gathering. you were simply mislead - plain and simple. again this come into the honesty comment earlier. you two were just put into a bad situation. be thankful you had the upper hand, my friend truly got the short end of the stick.

On another note: VG, your hair is'nt all that orange...I mean, its normal...you had me looking out for some monochromatic chemically enhanced wonder of nature. You do stand out in the crowd but I can't say if it is a result of your hair color or your charisma. Either way you have a good vibe

I want to thank everyone for showing up last nite. It was great meeting all of you.

And since things were put on the thread I now feel the need to defend myself.

First things first. If there is a personal situation that needs to be addressed, address it, dont let it linger all nite, especially when asked about it. And to question my honesty is crazy. I explained any and all events before hand. If you have a get together, everyone that shows up should hang and get together. Being in the middle by knowing a couple of sets of people that showed up, I did my best to spend time with everyone. I can not control peoples feelings or desires. I can make MY intentions known, which I thought I did. Jen, you say your friend got the short end of the stick...If thats the case its because she chose to believe what she wanted and not talk to me about anything AFTER the alcohol had worn off.

So if things are to be blamed on me, fine, Im a man Ill take my lumps. But Im not totally to blame and am not going to be made out to be a liar.

Lit-Togethers

Well...as we all have read, it looks like a fun time was had by most at the first Philly Lit-together.

I'm sorry if things went south for a few. I don't know what exactly happened, but I feel bad if someone got hurt or if it caused bad feelings in our little group here.

Hopefully, we can get past this, move on, and go back to enjoying ourselves.

I would like to make a motion to start planning another get-together right away. Maybe in South Jersey this time? I'm not real good with the city.

Well, its now Monday morning and I finally have a chance to check in. I have recovered from the "illness" that caused me to miss work on Saturday night (wink, wink). After a slow start for me (due to a non-working ATM at Dave & Busters) I finally got a few beers in me at Cheers-to-you. After the 10 mile hike from D&B to South Street (next time we take a cab!) I was starting to feel good. Like the last GTG I felt at ease with the group and started talking with everyone. We got to here a nice story from a bachlorette (sp) who was out for a final blast before the "Big Day". She was really nice and gave us some beads. We didn't even have to expose our breasts!( but Philly and I did anyway) The waitress was a little slow with the first pitcher, but made up for it by showing ample cleavage. Needless to say, this gang of soon-to-be-drunks kept her busy. I don't know if voy ever got her Red-Headed Slut, but she seemed to be enjoying herself. After we got a nice buzz, we decided to start heading to some of the other bars. There was some drama, but that has been covered elsewhere, and I don't need to go into it, but all-in all I had a good time. It was quite a haul for me, but I'm always willing to travel for a good time (remember that ladies!!) It was about 4am when I got back home, and don't worry about me driving Mary and her sister home, we had a nice chat- and they didn't live that far away. I'm up for the next one!
