Cycled home in the snow on Wednesday night, gave Thursday a miss (it was over 8 inches deep at that point outside the house) but the roads were acceptable yesterday so did the 25 mile round trip!

It was fantastic too be on a country lane of hard packed snow with the moon out and no traffic.... both little owl and barn owl!

we had a fieldfare outside our window several times yesterday eating the berries from out Pyrcantha

Berry and other fruit eaters really, over for the winter from Scandinavia. They are eating apples kept from last year's bumper crop!
