Permanent Marks

Hi all, I have a question, and would like everyones input. Mistress and I have discussed the idea of a permanent mark, showing my ownership to her. However, neither of us are very gifted in graphic arts. I have been looking around the internet for tattoo ideas, but all I seem to find are the Chinese characters for slave/submissive or something based off of people's SlaveRegister registration number. While, Mistress and I have been together for ten years next month (married 6, and collared for 1.5), I don't think that either of us want initials or her name just in case...

If you are a sub/slave have you discussed this idea with your M/D? If you have a permanent mark, would you mind sharing it? I am not looking to copy someone's idea, but rather to see what others have done or discussed, and see if gets our creative juices going.

I had discussed *matching* tattoos with a man I was involved with last year. He's gone, but the idea persists.

What I wanted was a femme padlock on my left wrist, and a masculine key on my right... would match his... masculine padlock on his left, femme key on his right. Face to face, hand in hand the locks would match the keys. And they could be small enough and easily explained. Esp with your wife.. keeper of your heart...

There's been a LOT of discussion on another forum I'm on about scarification, anything from branding to skin carving. It's been rather interesting actually. Not something I would be interested in doing for myself... but it would definitely be something unique.

Whatever you decide, make sure it's something you can live with for the rest of your life and something you aren't going to mind explaining over and over again should it be something that people can't easily identify. Permanent is exactly that. It doesn't go away. Especially scarification marks. Tattoos can be removed... at some cost and discomfort... but they can be removed. Red/orange inks are harder to removed then the blue/black ones.

Thanks for your comments greeneyed_Lady. That would be a cool matching tattoo set. I think we will be focusing mostly on my ass, since I can't have any tattoos show at the office.

We looked at scarification, but unfortunately it is not an option due to my psoriasis. Luckily, tattoos have a much lower rate of causing a flair-up.

My D recently took me to get my nose pierced as a symbol of our relationship. (That's the picture in my AV). I'd probably call it semi-permanent as if I removed the stud, the hole could close up. But if things were to not work out between us, it isn't something I think I would mind keeping.

Yes.. good point. Piercings are another semi-permanent marking that I hadn't really thought about. I've talked about having my boy pierced (I think we've settled on a frenum ladder, but I'm now having second thoughts after a recent experience with another piercing)... and I adore nipple piercings on boys. SO much fun to play with!! Might be far too much for my boy as his are super sensitive to start with.

viv has a tattoo on the inside of her right ankle. It's a triskele with my initials where the dots would be. MIS has a navel piercing, and my initial hangs off a short chain off the bottom of the barbell. Both have had my initials lightly carved or branded (cell popping style, so only semi-permanent), and MIS carries a cell-popped puzzle piece.

Initials are not a requirement at all, and were just what viv and I agreed on at that time. It took a good bit of thought to come up with a design that we both felt was appropriate and meaningful.

My av shows the tat that Daddy and I designed together. That's a close up... actual size is about 1" in diameter.

I don't mind piercings, but Mistress does not find them very attractive on men, otherwise that is a good semi-permanent way to go.

Master had me tattooed with His mark when He claimed me as His - i know you said you are not interested in initials so it won't be anything you would want as it is our initials - sHM - our scene names combined - s for me and HM for Him

my sister asked what it meant and i told her it was a combination of she and HIM - lame but all i could come up with and saying "well it is my Master's permanent mark of ownership" didn't seem appropriate at the time...

whatever you choose i am sure it will be perfect for you both
