Pendant of Bast (closed for Asa)

Her eyes closed as she lay there safe and warm in his embrace still holding him tight she purred softly. She knew she could not stay much longer but she would relish every second with him that she could have.

He finally raised his head and kissed her deeply, he smiled at her

"I am glad that you are here. This is clearly no dream is it?"

No my love this is no dream. Khonsu aids me in being able to stay here for a short time with you.

She did not want to think about being pulled back to her temple. She wanted to be here with him dealing with her assailant herself. Making the young whelp godling pay

He ran his fingers through her hair, kissing her again, tasting her and feeling the warmth and silkiness of her body against his as they were still locked in a lover's embrace.

"I wish that we could stay for a while longer, but as I know Khonsu, the power would now be fading as the night draws to a close."

Her eyelids dipping closed she was feeling weaker the power Khonsu had used was fading slowly. Feeling less of his embrace and more of her bed as she began to fade from him back to her temple.

We will soon have eternity again my love.

He watched as she slowly faded from him, he listened to her last words and then rolled from the bedding. He felt refreshed and he was ready for the long journey, he bathed himself and slipped on his stolen uniform, it was much easier to move around in this garb, when darkness came he would have use for his assassin clothes once more.

As the day broke, Luke was on his way, steadily making his way towards the temple that had been given to him, of course the priest would know that if he lied, the blue-eyed assassin might return and he could not chance that. Assassins had their ways and means, this was the fear and believes that Luke had counted on when he had the garb made. He passed several soldiers, but since he wore their uniform and moved with purpose, they did not bother him. The trail was longer than he had expected and he was forced to camp for two nights, but on the fourth day he could see the temple. He also noticed the guards and it was clear that you could not enter unless you were either a priest, or had any other dealings inside the temple.

Luke slipped from the horse, unsaddled it and set it free, he hid the saddle, bags and reigns. He studied the temple and noticed that it had not been secured properly, several trees gave access to the courtyard and that meant a means for him to enter. He smiled to himself, he would have to enter when the goddess rests and he will appear to her as Bast would have wanted him to appear, in his original armor.

The feline sat hidden in the trees watching him its tail flicking what would be translated as relaxed if not asleep to one who was not attuned felines. One that knew them well would see the silent message as directions or a sign. Its eyes half closed as it waited for him to see it and receive the message before it seemed to simply fade. It was not about to let him lose this mission due to some upstart who thought they could steal to make an easy buck or whatever its plan was. Mortals were all the same greedy and a tad stupid... with only exception of those that understood and were attuned to the feline world and Goddess.
