You're always welcome....stop by any time....

MD...thank you so much for this thread. I have looked before, but never taken the time to let you know how much I appreciate it, and I apologize for that!

The ocean is such a thing of beauty to me. I could never find the words to express how I feel when I gaze upon her. She is what I always crave to be near when I hurt. It is a physical and emotional pain to me that I am as far from her as I am. I cannot wait for the day I can see her again, feel her teasing my ankles, soothing my troubles. When I weep into the ocean and give her my hurts, she accepts it quietly. When I taste her waters, I taste the tears of my mothers and her mothers and all the others before me. I taste the combined salt of all our tears and realize that my pains are miniscule, and that brings me peace. I am envious of your closeness! Yet I am happy for your opportunity to be so near bliss on a daily basis.

Thank you again, perhaps I can share a few scenes from your ocean's sister... :)

Peace to you
mae

The Sound Of The Sea
by: Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

The sea awoke at midnight from its sleep,
And round the pebbly beaches far and wide
I heard the first wave of the rising tide
Rush onward with uninterrupted sweep;
A voice out of the silence of the deep,
A sound mysteriously multiplied
As of a cataract from the mountain's side,
Or roar of winds upon a wooded steep.
So comes to us at times, from the unknown
And inaccessible solitudes of being,
The rushing of the sea-tides of the soul;
And inspirations, that we deem our own,
Are some divine foreshadowing and foreseeing
Of things beyond our reason or control.

Mae thank you...

...I have long admired you work. I hope to perfect my skills and just bought a better camera. I'm off to Hawaii next week and hope to share its beauty with everyone here.

Also, feel free to add any of your pics that you like. I want this to be a sight for people to come and relax. I would love shots of the west coast. Have not had a chance to visit it, but hope to one day soon.

These pics are all *wonderful*, sweetie!! Thank you for sharing... :D

That was just the thing I needed before driving east to battle with family members. ;) Perhaps when I come back, I'll take another look-see to calm me down again! :D

Mae...I was very touched by your post...

I found your words very true and comforting.
I especially loved the poem by Wadsworth Longfellow...
he captured the majesty and wonder that is the ocean so intensely. That picture you posted was truly awe inspiring to see.
I could sit on those rocks and watch the waves crash against them for a long time. That would be a great place to leave the troubles of this life behind. Thanks a million. We all need a place to go like that and rest. :rose:

Here is my Secret garden ... My Mind .:rose:

Night Of Passion
A warm moonlit night, stars sparkling in the skies,
A smoldering flame sparks to life as we look into each others eyes.
The sound of a roaring waterfall nearby,
Soft mossy banks of green on which to lie.
You reach out to pull me close to you,
I feel a quiver of anticipation as you do.
The tingling spreading throughout me makes me shiver in delight,
As soft warm winds caresses our bodies in the heat of the night.

Your gentle caresses causes the flames within to burst to life in blazing desire,
I move my body in hunger as to ecstasy I climb higher.
Our tongues flick out to caress the other in a deep passionate kiss,
Oh these are things that I know I will miss.

As you cover me with your body in all its hunger and passion,
I arch upward to greet you in a wanton and lustfilled fashion.
To know that we are as one in perfect unison,
To know that we have created perfect passion in such a union.

As you fill me with the heat of your passion and desire,
I feel the tension of pleasure building higher,
I know that this age old dance of ecstasy will soar to heights never dreamed of,
This dance, the age old dance of passion and of expressing love.

As the tension builds higher and higher the tingling spreads to unbearable dimensions,
Then muscles roll and shiver as release comes from the sexual tensions.
As your cry of passion meets mine in the warm summer night,
I know we have reached the height of ecstasy and delight.

To love you in this age old wondrous dance,
Is always a risk I am glad to chance.
To love you in this pleasure filled fashion,
Is what tonight will be forever....A night of passion.

MR

Hurry Home MD ...... Miss ya

Haven't been fishing yet, did go by my license and pickup my regulations book for this spring & summer the other day. I cannot wait, got the fever big time. Can already picture myself standing in a cold, glacier fed river, the water rushing by my hip wadders and everywhere I look is green and plush. Finding the perfect holes as I work upstream, backcasting right in there with a sink plug, and my lure getting hit by a fat rainbow trout. After a brief fight, pulling in the fish and measuring it at 26 inches...very fat around too. Streaks of color run the length of its body, and after a few moments of admiration, setting him back in for another swim.

Yep, I got the bug.

I happened by this section of the Lit wilderness and didn't want to pass through without saying thanks for the awe inspiring art. It's a beautiful counterpoint to the usual (but differently inspiring) photos on other threads.

When I get a chance, I'll upload a few from my travels.

That would be great . MD would like that very much..........

Here is something for our garden and us ... For the world really .

<<<>>> THE TIME HAS COME TO LISTEN TO ECHOES FROM OUR LAND...THE WISDOM AND TEACHINGS OF OUR NATIVE AMERICAN INDIANS.
<<<>>> THEIR WORDS ARE SIMPLE AND THEIR VOICES SOFT. WE HAVE NOT HEARD THEM. BECAUSE WE HAVE NOT TAKEN THE TIME TO LISTEN. PERHAPS NOW IS THE TIME TO OPEN OUR EARS AND HEART TO THE WORDS OF WISDOM THEY HAVE TO SAY.

Have a good day all ............
