PB Nuke Pool

. MAD was the description of a strategic initiative in the case of a preemptive full scale nuclear attack against the West assuring a counter attack would result in total annihilation.
MAD Mutually assured destruction, and no I didn't need to google that you fucking idiot!

You dumbass, and no one since WW2 has used a nuke in anger. Why, because of MAD...

So according to you, it's fine if Putin uses Tactical nukes, 10 kilotons is nothing.....we'll respond with a polite warning not to do it again....

Putin needs to understand clearly and effectively if he uses one single nuke, we will blow Russia to hell and high water, regardless of the return strike!!!

Anything less and Putin WILL use a nuke, that is guarantied ( Ukraine is going to kick his ass out of their territory sooner or later, when that happens, Putin will use a nuke).

So what do you want? Let Putin do whatever he pleases, and when things don't go his way, he shoots off a tactile nuke or two, then do we just forget about it?

Or do you want to stand up to him, and say you fucking better not!!

I am so glad you are so far away from a decision on this, the only person I could think of on Lit who would be worse is Busybody....hell I think even AJ and crew know better than you!!!!

What the hell is a tactile nuke?

Right now Russia is playing an away game. Putin's country has not been affected by any military strikes within his nation's border and he knows that could change the instant a tac nuke is deployed.

NATO is prepared for a measured response. Our response to Putin using a tac nuke all depends on how it's deployed, where and how many. For sure the West would respond with total destruction of all Russian forces in Ukraine. Exactly what our response would be is top secret.

We can't stop Putin from launching, MAD hopefully resonates within Putin's thought process. Nukes aren't the only WoMD Putin has in his arsenal, there's the use of chem and bio as well. Right now Putin is getting his ass kicked, hopefully some brave soul will assassinate the bastard before he escalates. I hope the Biden admin and military protocol would include China, Iran and N Korea in their target sets.

I believe that eventually Putin will order nuke bombers into the air over Ukraine.
The airspace is effectively denied. Everyone fly at treetops and Russians really really avoid crossing over frontlines even with what should be close air support missions. Strategic Bombers flew over besieged Mariupol carpet dropping dumb bombs, but only after the main frontline was more than 50km away already.

The most likely means of delivery would be Iskander short range ballistic missile, possibly launched from territory of Belarus. Followed by Kalibr cruise missilr launched from ship or aircraft at standoff distance, but much riskier as 40-80% of Kalibrs are shot down by Ukrainian air defense.

Newly deployed nuke-bombers at Kola is certainly a signalling, expert says

Recent satellite images show that Russia has deployed four Tu-160 and three Tu-95 long-range strategic bombers north to the Olenegorsk air base on the Kola Peninsula.

As Iso's post shows, Russia has moved half a dozen nuke capable bombers closer to the border with Ukraine. These aren't the usual bombers that they used before.

Russia wouldn't put them there if they were going to use missiles to launch nukes.

LupusDei is correct. Analysts I have read know that tactical nukes Russia may launch into Ukraine would be via missile, and be less reliable than their strategic arsenal. iso36's own link acknowledges on plane movement
However, she underlines, “the operation does not seem to be combined with any other unusual moves nor supported by the rhetoric.”
“Unless that changes, I would see it as business as usual based on the limited information we have at the moment,” Zysk says.

IMHO Putin is repositioning military assets in an attempt to judge how the West will react. What I find alarming is the nuke submarine that went ghost!

Who gets in Putin’s nuke bunker? Not his love-child, apparently.

Luiza Rozova, also known as Elizaveta Krivonogikh, 19, is not invited to the bunker and nor a mystery son from a previous relationship, it was claimed

Analysts guess. So far they've been guessing wrong on just about everything from Hunter's laptop to Trump being a Russian asset.

I'm more in line with believing the actual facts on the ground as indicators toward what's going to happen. Such as Russia moving nuke bombers toward the front lines.

They should send Jared, Hunter and Paul Manafort to straighten this out.

Possibly.

Ill will possibly say something smart soon.

Yeah that one’s pretty thin gruel.

I haven’t seen any news about movements of nato strategic assets.

My guess is it’s getting crowded under the surface off the ukraine coast.

I mentioned that earlier, that is alarming, hope they’re keeping tracks on that one!
It's been seen publicly very recently (well after ostensibly going "missing") maneuvering on the surface in the arctic.

As to the "infinite range" nuke "torpedo" Poseidon it's planned to be armed with, that remains prototype of unknown readiness. Although this is a priority area Russians haven't been as stingy, and perhaps, one may hope, not as catastrophically corrupt and generally careless as with their ground forces... the thing much likely is just vaporware anyhow. Not saying the treat should be discounted for of course. And, to think that boat isn't shadowed...

I think you can count on her being 'tailed.'

Bidenomics might diminish Putin’s motivation to use tactical nukes. The American public’s will to continue support for Ukraine will erode if recession or a sustained period of stagflation drags on.

Maybe Putin is a patsy.

The capitalist elites know the global economy deficit ponzi scheme will crash.

Oswald Covid hasn’t killed as many people as planned.

Enter Sirhan Putin, programmed to level the playing field.

A world with economic equality for all requires the standard of living in the first world to be reduced by more than 80%.

Do you really think the reason there haven’t been new cars for 3 Years is “computer chips”?

You assume levels of oversight and foresight unrealistic for distributed human associations.

Problem with this is twofold: 1) the support for Ukraine is actually growing along with increasing awareness and likely will continue so at least short term; 2) Putin can't really count on long game right now either -- his own position at home is severely weakened by the military setbacks.

The only allowed opposition being from the bloodthirsty hardliners he is under pressure to escalate domestically, but objectively lacks means for it despite the relentlessly built perceptions.

Little birthday present for putin…

Moscow says truck explosion destroys part of Russia-Crimea bridge

The big hit is the rail span. Russia's entire logistics plan depends on rail.
