Any other Ortho-Evra patch wearers out there? Have you ever had a patch hurt? This week's patch is really irritating me...it doesn't look like it's sticking as well as usual, and the skin underneath is red and irritated. I generally can't wait to take one off, but this is more than the usual minor annoyance. I've never worn one during the summer...does this happen during the hotter months (wondered if the combination of sweat and stickiness is irritating my skin)? Where have you found to be the best place to wear yours? Anything else you recommend in place of patches?

I've never used it, but if it's irritated like that probably the best thing you can do is talk to your doctor. It sounds, on the surface, (no, pun intended) as though you may be having a bit of an allergic reaction. Or perhaps because of the change of the weather, it might be just irritated a bit. Definitely, talk to a doctor, you don't know if the irritation will affect the performance of the patch.

Also talk to your pharmicist. It could be that the inactive ingredients are what is bothering you and that he can substutite a different brand.

it's likely the glue

i don't use the patch (mostly 'cause i'm a guy) but from what i've been told, the glue can cause skin irritation for some people. like the others said, talk to your doc and/or pharamcist.

an aside: isn't the chick in the ortho-evra commercial fairly hot?

Have you been moving it to different spots on your body? If you wear it on your bikini line try moving it to the other side. Maybe if your keeping it in the same spot the skin has become irritated.

Same idea and hormones as the patch, but you insert it vaginally for three weeks at a time. Take it out the fourth week to have your period.
