Patch a wall?

Looks like a trip to Lowe's or Home Depot is in my future...someone mentioned a kit ~ I'm going to look for that!

Take a picture of the damage to Home depot with you. Show it to a clerk and they should be able to point you to the right product for the repair. (that would probably work at Lowe's too.)

You might also stop by a craft store and pick up some modeling clay: You can take an impression of the existing wall texture and then stamp the patch with it to duplicate the texture -- practice on a piece of cardboard first to figure out how to keep it from sticking to the wet spakle.

Yes you do. It's probably only about fifteen minutes worth of work even if you have to insert some backing. Let it dry for 24 hours and prime it, another 24 hours for the primer to dry and then paint to match the rest of the wall.

Total time fifteen to thirty minutes spread over three days.
