Weird Harold said:Take a picture of the damage to Home depot with you. Show it to a clerk and they should be able to point you to the right product for the repair. (that would probably work at Lowe's too.)
You might also stop by a craft store and pick up some modeling clay: You can take an impression of the existing wall texture and then stamp the patch with it to duplicate the texture -- practice on a piece of cardboard first to figure out how to keep it from sticking to the wet spakle.
