Same here - when I got home last night from the lake mine had been delivered. I am about 125 pgs in atm :)

I've finished it. Good ending, although a slight anti-climax....mind you, that's probably more to do with the knowledge it's the last book than anything else...

I was only kidding, ladies, about Harry Potter .... ;)

On a side note, I visited Lacock Abbey, in Wiltshire, when I was holiday .... where they filmed many of the scenes from Harry Potter .... :)

I recognise them from stills I had seen .... I haven't read any of the books or seen any of the films, I'm afraid .... my kids are too old for Harry Potter .... ;)

You don't need an excuse to read them, the great thing about her books is they have appeal for all ages. :)

First couple are definitely aimed at the younger teens but they get much darker as they go on, certainly not for young kids.

It's like these role-playing computer games, dungeons and dragons, all that .... doesn't interest me at all .... I'm much more into mindless violence .... :D

Having said that, I didn't think it would interest me much, picked up the first book to have a peruse and got hooked.. :)

So in what area do your literary forays lie then?

I'm into detective/thriller that sort, also the slightly weird, like Stephen King, one of my all time fave authors ... I'm into the forensic pathology genre at the moment .... Patricia Cornwell, Kathy Reichs etc .... :)

Oh, I love crime thrillers...have you tried Johnathan Kellerman? Also Lee Childs is very good...

If you like weird stuff, have you read any Dean Koontz? I have most of his books.

Yep, read all JK's, and several Lee Child and also all Michael Connelly's (highly recommended!) ... also read several Dean Koontz .... :)

Of course! :D

I used to read pretty much exclusively US-set books, but I have lately got into a few British-based ones too .... I'm just reading my second DI Banks novel by Peter Robinson, and also I have not long read a series by a guy called Graham Hurley, set in Portsmouth .... :)

LOL....funny we both have the same taste in literature! :)

Not read any of the British ones, I find the US ones faster paced....

Yeah, I know what you mean, but I am quite enjoying the change in pace .... I try to alternate them if possible .... :)
