Pat returns ....

Well, it's a position that I've always enjoyed filling but sometimes you need a change, you know? ;) :p
 
I certainly like to feel fulfilled in any position I may be holding ;)

I'd like to see Utd win it. Have a sneaky feeling that the blues may just edge it though.....too close to call though really.

Wouldn't it funny if the Blues end the season with zilch, after going for four trophies at one time .... oh, hang on, they won the League Cup, didn't they (the least important of them all, many would argue) .... :)

I think I shall be supporting Utd as well .... ;)

Oh, how I shall laugh if that happens.....especially after his taunts to Benitez of being a 'cup' team ;)

Then I shall sit back and watch it all unravel at Stamford Bridge over the summer. Apparently Frankie Lampard's been told he can go whistle for his requested pay increase....I can see a few malcontents walking out the door.....:D

I still can see Jose walking as well, especially if they lose tomorrow .... :D

Yup, especially after all the alleged arguments with Abramovich......£300m and all he's won is 2 prem titles and two league cups.....mwahahahahahahaha :D

Yes, I think the Champions League was considered a formality by some at Stamford Bridge after spending that sort of money .... :D

In their defense, if they hadn't had the injuries to Cech and Terry, I think they still could have won the league again .... probably the best goalkeeper and centre-half in the premier division, if not the world .... anybody would have missed them!

Having said that, what about his three main signings last summer?

Shevchenko? Class player, but past his sell-by date ....

Ballack? Again a class player, but seems to have cruised through the season in second gear ...

Boulharouz? Seemed totally out of his depth in the Premier ....

Yup, I think you're right. They seem to think if they throw enough money at the club, all the trophies should fall into their laps and it doesn't work like that.

Mind you, Fergie's had his injuries to contend with this season. Strength in depth is what's important....and when Fergie's boys have slipped up, Chelsea failed to capitalise on that.

Did you know if we hadn't gotten relegated in 2003, Petr Cech was coming to West Ham? Big mates with Ludo, our goalkeeping coach. And we currently have the next Petr Cech on our youth books ;)

I have to say the summer signings are probably what's affected them most this season. The only player of those three who probably deserved a contract was Ballack after the World Cup, but he just hasn't seemed up for it, has he?

No, he hasn't .... and Shevchenko should have been bought at least five years ago to get the best from him - why do you think AC Milan were willing to let him go? Just remind me which team is in the Champions League final and which isn't? ;) :D

LOL....I shouldn't laugh.....we had Shevchenko on trial at West Ham years ago before he came to prominence....one of 'Arry's foreign imports....and apparently, according to 'Arry he 'didn't pull up no trees'....:rolleyes:

Yes, I'm gonna be busy this weekend .... Cup Final tomorrow and then I have to go to get my daughter home from Uni on Sunday, so I won't be around much either .... :rolleyes:
