Dude got to be too much even for G. Gordon Liddy.

"White America died last night. Obama's reelection killed it. Our 200 plus year history as a Western nation is over. We're a Socialist Latin American country now. Venezuela without the oil."

Stunned by his clear racisim, Liddy tried to walk his guest back from the ledge:

"With what you just said right there...You seem to imply that white people are better than other people. That's not really what you're saying is it?"

"Of course that's what I'm saying," Buchanan replied "Isn't it obvious? Anything worth doing on this Earth was done first by white people."

"Who landed on the moon? White people. Who climbed Mount Everest? White people. Who invented the transistor? White people. Who invented paper? White people. Who discovered algebra? White people."

"And don't give me all this nonsense about Martin Luther King and civil rights and all that. Who do you think freed the slaves? Abraham Lincoln. A white guy!"

(Don't tell him the Arabs discovered algebra and the Chinese invented paper.)

Hear that? It's applause from the GB right-fringe.

Ah the Daily Currant claims another victim.

-RobDownSouth, who has also fallen for their satires in the past

It's plausible enough. Sadly.

And the right-fringe GB is still applauding. (And would've re-posted it elsewhere if you hadn't said anything.) :D

It's always funny when people think it's real. Not as funny as people who believe Onion stories but close.

Palin Announces 2014 Presidential Run

Palin Announces 2014 Presidential Run
Nov. 09, 2012

Former Republican Alaskan governor Sarah Palin announced last night her intention to run for U.S. president in 2014.

Speaking exclusively to Fox News from her Wasilla, AK home, Palin said there was no time to waste in replacing the newly reelected Barack Obama:

"Barack Obama's second term is going to be a bigger disaster than the first," she said in an interview to Fox's Sean Hannity,"We need to prepare our nation for the post-Obama era of prosperity."

"The next election is only two years away. That's only 420 days. And when that day comes, I intend to be the Republican presidential nominee in 2014. "

I knew it was a fake with the part about Gordon Liddy walking him back from the edge. I don't think that's ever happened in any context.

Satire? I dont get it. Seems true enough.

As Miles and Karen have both posted about my personal information here, I'm active in Toastmasters public speaking. One of my "signature speeches" (a speech I use in speaking contests) is a satire on Toastmasters using dead relatives to gain pity points with judges. (In Toastmasters, they're derisively called "MPDR speeches"...."My Poor Dead Relative").

It never fails, though, after I give this speech, someone in the audience will come up to me and tell me how blessed I am by God for being gifted to commune with dead spirits....

Oooooh, my great-grandpa died of the black lung. Can you gimme an emotionally charged anti-coal angle?

Cause a lot of people around here love the mines that are raping their land and killing their bodies.

"I looked around, and there was Once-ler's great-grandfather. I knew it was him from his blackened hands, hands that had seen a lifetime of hard work in the mines of West Virginia.

He tried valiantly to express himself, but couldn't stop coughing. That's right, my friends, his soul was coughing....it seems that the pain and suffering inflicted upon him on this earth by greedy mine executives transcends the mortal veil.

His passing gave him no release...he walks the spirit world now, a grim reminder of a hellish existence on Earth and an eternal warning of the dangers of coal".

That is awesome.

Well, now...

...that certainly explains the constantly displayed, practiced expertise in complete bullsh!t.

Do you get extra points for repeating yourself?

 It's really hard to tell in Buchanan's case. Poe's Law on two legs. He wrote Suicide of a Superpower, which actually includes a chapter on "The End of White America." And The Death of the West, wherein a very different word beginning with "W" was clearly intended.
