A young pastor is tazed and brutally beaten by jack-booted border patrol agents for citing his 4th amendment rights and claiming that the internal border checkpoint he is stopped at is illegal and unconstitutional.
He had his window broken, was shot with a tazer, dragged out of his car, and then viciously beaten and stomped on.
Chances are the agents involved were waiting for him and knew exactly what they were going to do. The victim of this beating is a highly outspoken political activist critical of the federal government's encroachment on the rights and privacy of American citizens. It is likely this was done intentionally, solely as a means of intimidation for his political views.
Many other activists and government critics have been harassed and threatened at illegal checkpoints throughout the country. It is certainly possible that various police and federal agents are briefed by their superiors about certain individuals whom the federal government deems an enemy so they can then be persistently targeted for harassment and intimidation. These people are operating well within their legal and civil rights and do not deserve harsh and sometimes violent treatment as well as government blacklisting.
Over 1,500,000 American citizens are on the "terrorist watch list," some of whom for doing things as simple as signing an anti-abortion or anti-war petition, or for making a simple and innocuous political statement critical of government policy. It's only a short matter of time before these people (by the thousands) start dying under strange circumstances, or suddenly disappear, never to be seen or heard from again.
Freedom in AmeriKa is quickly being stamped out by the fascist jackboot. All in the name of protecting us from nonexistent and scapegoated terrorist boogeymen. The disturbing developments in the United States in the past 10 years is chillingly parallel to what occurred in Germany during the early 1930's. Almost exactly identical.
