All right, what were (are?) you guys' favorite party games. You remember, don't you, all the way back to high school, sitting around in the basement of a house, trying to be quite so the parents wouldn't hear you up stairs.
Are there any specifically good ones you remember? I didn't really go to that many of "those" kind of parties, so I don't have a particular favorite.

To go for the obvious first

Two of the all-time classic teenage make out games that become much more exciting when you get older and more, ahem, "experienced," would have to be Truth or Dare and Spin the Bottle.

When I was a small child I begged and begged my Mom to buy me a board game I saw in the store called "Post Office". After mucho begging she finally bought it for me, knowing I'd have no idea what the hell it was all about, and I didn't.

I recall one Xmas I talked some friends and their family into charades. Everyone groaned at first, but went with it. Well, EIGHT HOURS later we were still playing. I swear they were calling in cousins from out of town to fill in for people who were dropping out from exhaustion and laughter.

Speaking of marathon games, anyone else ever take two or three weeks to play a game of "Risk"?

Sorry, don't mean to change the tone of this thread into a board game thing (because I can talk forever on that subject). As far as the sex games go, I never really got into Spin The Bottle or Truth or Dare -- probably too shy.

"FEELING YOUNG AGAIN"

"STREEEAAAKIN"....Wasn't much of a game, but it always got a good laugh.

I played risk with a friend of mine, but we never really figured out how to play. We would just make a nuetral army, beat up on them, then beat up on eachother, then try and play the game. But thats not much of a party game...

I even own the computer version.

I was always partial to truth or dare, or strip anything.

Childhood games...

<scratching head pondering>

~Well, between 10-13 Truth or Dare was a VERY popular slumber party game!
~Another slumber party game was Light as a feather, Stiff as a board!
~So was Bloody Mary (picture the whole "Candy Man" thing in the mirror of a dark bathroom).
~Other games: Monopoly, Life, Stratigo, Connect 4, etc....

I can't belive no one has said it yet........TWISTER........now that game was the shit baby.....still like it but I hear my back crack more now........

Did anyone else ever play "spoons?" (also known as "tounges.") That was a fun game to play with a lot of people.

Twister was a good icebreaker. You actually got a chance to touch other people, sometimes even a girl!

YEA! Even a ... a GIRL! hee hee (ah that tickled!)

(Okay sorry.. I am WAY too hokey for my own good tonight apparently!)

'Neeway... DITTO on the games that TIggs said

DCL... AHH don't remind me about the Risk! People were always taking my happy little countries away and all they wanted to do was live in peace and raise chickens! WTF those f$#$ing Eurpeans! (or Americans, or whoever owned the other countries...)

OH,

And I ALWAYS wanted to play spin the bottle but it never happened.

AND
How come no one has mentioned "7 minutes in heaven" or whatever they called it where U people live? What planet is this!?

And finally!!!

AT the SLEEPOVERS... what did you do to the first person who feel asleep?
WE always either froze thier bra or put toothpaste on their toes!!! ( I have NO clue where we got that second idea, but it was DAMN cool at the time! LOL)

7 Minutes in Heaven though at our age, we were all too scared to do anything. Also the classic Truth or Dare, and the occasional knock n' run.

Patryn,

Where were YOU when I was growing up?

Whats "7 min in heaven?" Call me "uncultured" if you will, but I am not sure what you're talking about.

Allow me to explain funny guy...

Basically, you get stuck in what is typically a closet with someone for 7 minutes and "supposedly" you make out with them... I think they imitated it on LOL "Boy Meets World" one time..... LMAO.. I never got to go into the closet though myself... :(

Oh, I gotcha. But how do you decide who goes in the closet? Jade, I'll take you into the closet some day... :D

Okay, but be nice to me... I am scared of the dark.
;)

Jade, then I promise never to play spin the bottle in the dark with you! ;)

Well, perhaps if you could light a candle...?

Now I remember...

Another party game, though I learned this one in college, was called Suck Me Blow Me. You would sit in a circle, alternating boy-girl (though I guess you didn't have to do so). Taking a card, the first person would suck it to their lips, turn to their neighbor, who would then suck it onto their lips as the first person blew the card off.

Of course, the success rate for passing the card was very low, but the success rate for kissing was high.

As for Risk, oh god, of course I remember those long drawn out games, especially when you've retreated to Australia and built up the huge defensive force and your opponent builds up the attacking force. When you finally start to battle, it takes about 1,000 rolls to make a dent.
