Well, I'm so beset with options now...<g>

Was raised Roman Catholic, attended a college affiliated with the Lutheran Church, hang out with mostly Wiccan friends (both online and off, it seems), and fluctuate between a sort of pantheistic animism and complete I-don't-and-prolly-can't-tell-what's-really-involved agnoticism...

<smile>
But, I think I've been more at home among those Merrily Met along the way...

Its Imbolic. I'm celebrating. Actually, I'm looking at the betting line for the Superbowl but that counts ...sort of.:D

You would think so. ;)

Traditionally, I burn my christmas tree and wreaths on this day, but I didn't have them this year. :(

I'm Jewish by birth, but firmly atheist nowadays. But I flirted with paganism in my twenties.

I spent many a summer day on the South Downs with my divining rod following ley lines, and I've stood with the crowds in the Standing Stones of Stonehenge on the night summer Solstice.

I still like pagans, especially the long-haired female variety with freckles and attitude.

Merry meet, happy Imbolc, blessed be, and all the stuff that goes between. :)

Are Wiccans welcome too?

Naturally!

Actually, anybody is welcome- as long as they are not antagonistic toward Pagans or Pagansim. You know, as long as they don't think we're evil or something, we'll let them in;)

I'm an Orthodox Agnostic . . . where's the room for those?

Let's see, about me:

Born and raised protostant, always pulled toward 'occult' subjects. Finally just gave up and gave in.

Bought Amber K's book about witches about 8 years ago along with a Kaballa book I still haven't fully read, at a garage sale (!) Been studying pagan religions ever since. Realized that I had more of a 'pagan world view' than a christian one.

Studied what I could find at the library and on library computer till I got my own and then went pretty much ape-shit, printing out everything I could get my hands on. Studied wicca at first, then realized it wasn't quite for me and branched out some. Called myself a witch, now I eschew lables pretty much. I'm almost a 'lapsed pagan' now that I've found lit and shifted my main focus to porn!:)

Missed Imbolc!

I try to do something to mark the pagan holidays but mostly celebrate the old ones I grew up with, because I like them and I like the connection to family, and the past (especially christmas) and tend to incorporate the more pagan themes.

I attend a christian ministry! Would prefer to go to a UU but I don't have transportation. The ministry I attend helps the families around here a lot and I feel that the people are really good. they don't know that I'm the devil of course:rolleyes: and, unlike my old days in sunday school, I don't argue with the bible lessons!

Wouldn't matter if i did or not. i live in the Bible belt. ;)

I know that feeling. We had a Pagan Society meeting last month in Mobile, Al. It was my first time attending the local group since moving here last year. Of course they had signs pointing to us for the tables we had reserved. Talk about stares and no one wanting to sit nearby. lol

Thats the trouble the word Pgan is taken to mean unholy mother molesting child shagger in the allegedly normal world. in fact it means quite the oposite. most pagan reigions worship the very things that give us life ie the elements
