Pagan Corner

we were discussing religion in law class the other day, and all im thinking is, whats a pagan got to do to get some equality in this country?

I have 200 pine tree samlings to plant and 50 apple tree saplings to plant.

So what is it with this reforesting?

Hi Dlcron? Quesla here: Me and a local friend had discussed that very idea: Using unpasturized liquid golden honey! How does it differently affect the 1118 lalvlin yeast? I thought that 1118 only produced 14% alcvolume? The only reason I had been led to believe that pasturized solid white honey was used was for saftey to ensure that only the yeast got the starting foothold in the beginning of the primary fermentation? One of my major calculation disparities is that I do not know how to calculate the sugar volume in pureed and juiced frutes of different kinds and so I've stuck with a very basic mead recipe and then added the fruit to carbonate a finishing product. Tell me more! I'm only just getting into this hobby and so far have been so happy and proud of my first plain mead results! Love & Light: Queslahol

Dalgren? Have I got it right yet? Your call name is full of silent consanants that my jaws does not pronounce when sounding it out! Also? I STILL!!! haven't figured out the edit function in that edit post link! Do ya have to tab to get into the edit text frame? I am also making a plain vodka with the power distiller's yeast. I have bought two liquor flavourings from our local "Wine Kitz" bissiness. The distiller's yeast pack was a bigger pack with the yeast nutrient already in it and is supposed to produce a 21% alchol volume. The label that my hubby read to me; Remember: I'm completely blind and do not read hard copy printed text. He said that it read " 1118 Lalvlin too! What makes that one produce 21% and the regular wine 1118 wine yeast packages , that you have to add your own nutrient that also is bought in clear? plastic bags just like your sulphates and pink cleaning solution powder? The little wine 1118 wine packs only of course produce 14% alchol volume.Heather, a local friend, the one who got me started in brewing said that the alchol volumes can only go to what the yeast is bread for: The wine yeast being 14 and a little drop when you finish the fermenting of the yeast. I don't suppos that alchol volume is one's biggest concern: but I try to ferment until all the sugar is consumed due to the fact that remaining sugar does a real fuck job on my diabetic blood sugars! I know: Medical pros would say that I shouldn't be drinking at all! But I wouldn't be happy or alive if I lived their computerized shceduled life! I don't drink often enough to be a general health risk. I just like to let down my hair, copper blonde red once in a while! As I go., I would like to refine my wines and meads to a fine conesure tasting experience! I'd like to make it an art since I can't do visual graphical art anymore! This will make use of my other appreciative senses. I'm lousey at rythym and beat and pitch or tones, so music is out for me! I can't even dance to beat. I want to do the old world crafting that the people of our pasts were persecuted for by the expanding power of the R.C. church. I would return to the visual herbology studies I used to do as a teen, but I feel that without sight I could make some deadly mistakes using just touch and texture or shape to id some vegetation! I did buy a hydrometer, but of course I can't read it and I don't think my hubby bothers to read carefully what he does not understand, he's nearly illiterate anyways. Using Heather, brewing introducer friends instructions, I've tried to teach Curt to read the right column on the device, but I don't think trianing him is going to work and he's not terribly interested in drinking the stuff anyways. He only has a snort very rarely if he's tense. I have been using just my taste sense to tell if it is sweet or dry. Sorry it's such a long post. I do hope that others can get something out of chalanging their senses in the craft. Love & Light: Quesla

Home made Meade was the worst Hangover I ever had in all my time.

I have a freind who owns a micro brewery here.

and another who is a beek keeper.

Bees ahhh the Blessings of the Goddess.

as is Meade, in small drinks.

You are so right about the yeasts making the contents of alcohol.

Like Ice wines higher, from the deep freezing of the sugars in the grapes.

Peace be on you .

Enlightenments are Life.

Peace be on you as well Lady I.

May your Spring be full of smiles.

And your May day Night be Long.

May your fires burn bright all night.

May you embrace abandonment.

May peace come to you in the Morning.

Happy Yule everyone! May your light shine brightly through the dark!

Brightest blessings,
lass

Thanks for the bump )0(

Some decent info except for the advertisement on the first youtube video for Black Magic Spell Service :D

Pardon me, but have any of you ever heard of the Vagina Dentata myth? Or seen the movie Teeth?

And a good morrow to you as well, Image. :)

That is one of the page I read before posting actually. LOL!

Well, shouldn't we be in awe of it? After all, it is a considerable power.

There are two more interesting facts to consider about the vagina as well.

Firstly, its basic form is not unlike that of the human throat

Second, a female's vaginal fluid contains:
water
pyridine (Which can be used as a solvent)
squalene (Also found in shark liver oil and some botanicals)
urea (A waste product that gets urinated and sweated out as well, but helps our bodies to reabsorb water and ions.)
acetic acid (Which also gives vinegar its sour taste and pungent smell)
lactic acid (Not surprised that its found here)
complex alcohols (No wonder we get besotted with women)
glycols (widely used as an automotive antifreeze. In its pure form, it is a odorless, colorless, syrupy liquid with a sweet taste.)
ketones (Used in perfume to slow other ingrediants from degrading over time.)

Reads like a witches brew... Always knew there was a reason I liked it. ;) Sugar and spice indeed...

Here's another well written article about it:

And for 'our' brew... ;)

acid phosphatase
citric acid
inositol
calcium
zinc
magnesium
fructose
ascorbic acid
prostaglandins
L-carnitine
neutral alpha-glucosidase
