Hello: Quesla here, I am Wiccan, I am so glad that there are some of us here. I hope I can join your circle. I am completely blind and am very clumsy on the forum as I do not know how yet to nevigate the pages with my voice software. I do look for a lot of pagan/wiccan stories and enjoy them mostly. I may have trouble getting back to this thread, so maybe pm me? I've got it on. Love & Light: QueslaP.S.? I am having trouble getting my icons to click or even let me choose from the graphics list that is labelled so JAWS, my software can I.D. them to me. I mean like: "Graphic: Kiss? Smilely? Thumbs up or down? Whatever. How do I change those and make them go in replies when I want them to?

Quesla...I might suggest that you get hold of some of the support staff for Lit. They might be able to offer a fix to your problem.

Hi I think I've always been drawn to the spirits of the Lady, but my mother HATES! Pagans & Witches. She is AAnglican! and firm ly entrenched in the dogma that the first Xtian church, R.C. entrenched in the burning times, she knows not that there was a time so old that nobody remembers it! I cannot talk to her about it without her starting a fight with me, So I keep to my own people even though not of blood relation! It was much later than my young 7 years when I first started breaking away from the Anglican church of our family and left safter communion, you'know? wher the allow pre-teens to accept the bread & wine of the "son of God"? In 99 or so, I learned of the other form of the Pentagram, the horned god the Stag Lord of the forest, the fire and breath of life. Now I embrace both masculine & feminine equally and s"see" no reason for our patriarchial major religions. I do think there are still some social orders that exclude females and expect them to behave in traditional roles of early burning times.
It is only now that I have come to believe that I do not need to be burried tied into a fetal position to be born back to the Mother , I can accept now being committed to fire in cremation, as long as no bibles are present or the Cross of the Anglican church, which is plainer and does not have the crucifix image sculpted in it. Sorry, my family and religion from my mother's Farmer/Russel clan is a VERY! sore point with me. There have been a few wounding incidences in my past with mostly fundementalists forms of Xtianity! Usually baptist or Bornagain/ pentacostal? I steer as far as I can away from them!

Hi there! I thought I might have seen the last of you due to all the problems with your JAWS program. I'm glad you're back...

I can understand someone, especially family members, not wanting you to stray from the Xtian church. If that's what their beliefs are they really believe in what they're saying that they are helping, not hurting you. So be powerful in your knowledge that things aren't as b/w as others think and give them a break . Of course there's the other faction of people who might have their doubts but it's a matter of power with them...

Impressively you've learned, maybe, to listen to your inner voice, and at a very young age (7) that says this can't possibly be all the answers and there are other routes to the top of that mountain...

I'm glad you have found a community. I assume that's what you mean by "keeping to your own people". But you have to realize also, that no matter, we're all connected and these people who may dissent to you are all part of your personal evolution. Maybe you would have never gotten to this point without some sort of conflict in your psyche. In other words, hot to feel cold, a difference of degrees...

And I'm bolding this one sentence, not because I disagree, but because I want to bring your attention to the fact that there are Neo-pagan sects today that exclude anything of a male infusion. They are just as wrong as the patriarchal sects that exclude the female essence... It's the balance that matters.

And you know, I wouldn't worry too much about what was present (ie Bibles, crucifixes) that were present at your passing. It's for the peeps left behind, not you. We are such a ritualized society and they need it, not you...

Anyway, I'm glad you're here. The Fundies have no power over you. And they think we're crazy

Firstly i would just like to say im glad i found this thread.
I have come to the conclusion that paganism is for me. For years i went to methodist church and dutifully studied the bible. Slowly it dawned on me that the inconsistances of so called convential religion just did not rest easy on my shoulders. Having open minded parents helped me to explore other options and i finally understood inner peace when i found paganism. But like i said i am very very new to all of this and i would like to have something clarified for me if you please.
I have a friend whose religion happens to be jehovahs witness and we have many a "debate" over my beliefs system. As far as they see it i need to find the true religion and that i am practically consorting with the devil..
My arguement is this...... before the advent of christianity the true religion(if thats what one wants to call it) is paganism. And that to not upset the apple cart(so to speak) the new religion of christianity moved their cerominies to coinside with the solsticies of the old religion. Now could someone please tell me if i am right or not. It just seems that when you look upon easter and harvest festival and xmas there is alot pertaining to fertility(easter) etc.

The truth is it all goes back to the beginning. Nature, the mother. So pure back then. Then someone got the idea to take that purity and use it...pollute it...control. The sad part being the widespread acceptance.

Many are sheep, they need to be led. It's their nature. For one to want to leave the "flock" and follow their own path, there is not always tolerance.

Is the quick Reply got something to do with that??? *Grrrr!* aI sorta entwined male and female in saying that without the mother, body of the planet and Father, Breath of life, the warm winds and the single-celled life that started this whole tangled up story upon our good lady, we wouldj've never had life upon the good earth. Without one there cannot be the other and with the other there canot be the many! I just wish now that we could figure out how to keep a balance of both!!! Pray our good lady lasts long enough to see the many learn the error of our ways and keep balances upon all the planets that hold the breath of life, the Lord! Lord & Lady Bless Thee!
