Pagan Corner

In ancient days the folk of old
When chilled with fright by winter's cold
Did kindle up a great Yule fire
With leaping flames in its great pyre;

So to entice the waning sun
To rise again and wider run;
It's fiery course across the sky,
To warm them so they would not die.

So we, whose minds now sense a chill
Of anger in the evil will,
The human conflict, hate, and strife,
Which hold a menace over life;

Would kindle up a flame of love
That we within our hearts may move,
In Yuletide joy, with love embrace
And thus abide in peace and grace.

In this most wonderous moment, the light returning to the cold, dark Earth is the greatest promise of all!

That sounds like a euphemism but I'd like to think that this world is truly changing... It may not seem like it presently, especially in these times, but I really believe we are walking and working towards a brighter world... That pendulum is on an upward swing!

And while I'm up on this little soap box, I'd really like to say how much I appreciate the people who frequent this thread. I never thought it would go so many pages (I'm sure I'm on many an iggy list because I own a never ending thread ~lol~) but I'm glad it can be a warm corner here to come to whether to celebrate, bitch or rant, or just to say Merry Meet, every now and again!

So thanks and I love all you wicked, sexy, decadent creatures no matter the path you're on!

Merry Solstice!

Hey, let's do Saturnalia next year! That's an orgy in the making :kiss: :heart: :kiss:

may your spiral turn on forever.

and your limb on the tree of life grow long and have many leaves.

blessings this Solstice .

:rose:

rest well Lady of the Earth and stars.

Would anyone be interested in posting to a pagan art thread? :confused:

Absolutely! You have one or want to start one?

And art in all it's mediums!

Merry Yule everyone, Sorry I'm a bit late. I stumbled accross this thread on accident. Thanks for having it here though as my inlaws are being rather closedminded this year. It's nice to see happy pagans around even if it is online :D

We're glad to have you here. I know what you mean about the famliy issues. My family probably would freak out if they knew.

Wanting to wish all a blessed Imbolc (or Oimelc, as I'm inclined to feel it this year) ;)

Amidst the darkness the Lady is stirring,
Gently awakening from frozen dreams,
All the world has awaited the return of the Maiden,
And Her promise of oncoming Spring...

Seeds shall soon begin to sprout
And creatures shall young bear,
For this is the promise, the cycle of life
That is born of the love that they share...

may you have enough to see you through until the greening time.

and may you have all you want but not more than you need.

MG & O look so young in those pics. MG has the biggest tits... omg, they just hang there free since she burned her bras years ago.

So they just moved from their place about a mile from my house to a new place about five miles away. What a move... they had so much crap. Killer yard sale though. :cattail:
