Now that I've finished reading the whole thread I can say that I've learned a little bit. I want to know more. I always want to know more about everything. I'm a Sagitarius complete with the insatiable curiosity about almost everything.

I don't follow a specific path currently. I feel that I haven't learned enough about any particular one to consider myself that one. At the moment, I seem to have lost my balance. I'd really like to have it back, but I realize now that it's all part of the cycle (thanks to a post earlier in the thread, sorry I can't remember who at the moment). That makes it easier and less worrysome for me.

I don't want to sound overly naive or like I'm just trying it out because it's a cool thing to do. I've been studying off and on for several years (it was hard when i still lived with my xtian parents). Now that I'm happily married (to a fellow Pagan :D )and on my own, I can devote more time to my studies.

I know that being Pagan is the right path for me. I think a self dedication/initiation ritual would help me immensely. However, I'm not sure where to start. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

(I've rambled enough. It's late. Don't hurt me too much)

Ah, glad to see one of my favorite threads back!

Especially as we are finally in this new season of Autumn.

For me Autumn/Winter marks the most magical time of the year.

Nice to see you I. ;)

Is the derogatory definition still used?

Learning the Way

I've been gone for several months due to the mishaps in my life. I was brought up along many paths and until recently (January) I escaped my fevered past and started along the learnings of Wicca.

How fares Ye Image.

tis the last harvest time.

store for the bleakness ahead.

We are everywhere!!!
I'm sure a thread like this is buried out there somewhere but here goes another...

Posting this at Full Moon for maximum magickal energy!

Paganism is a broad term and many paths and cultures fall under it's heading. Weave here anything you feel is relevant...Viewpoints, debates and dialogue. Rituals, poetry, music, herbcraft, artwork...

And don't forget... "An it harm none, ALL acts of pleasure are mine". Paganism and sexuality are most common bedfellows.

You don't have to be Pagan to post here, I welcome all exchanges, but remember tolerance for other's opinions. If you find something offensive, just move on. Besides, no one is forcing you to browse this thread and possibly learn something...

In the spirit of the upcoming Sabbat, Imbolc, I'll start...

The Mid-Winter Skyclad Blues
Calean MacGealach

The full moon is a-risin'
and the snow is on the ground.
Yeah, the full moon is a-risin'
and the snow is on the ground.
Ain't gonna worship skyclad
till the spring comes back around.

Goin' skyclad in the winter
Oh no, that's not for me.
If freezin' naked's freedom
slavery's just fine with me

Goin' skyclad in the winter
Oh no, that's not for me
If I'd known that Pagans did this,
mighta stuck with Christianity.

But the full moon is a-risin'
and the snow is on the ground.
Yeah, the full moon is a-risin'
and the snow is on the ground.
Don't wanna worship skyclad,
'till Beltane comes around.

Beautiful!!
Thank you!

Wiccan?

As a note, I might need to come up with a different name for Chaos/Taoism than "Chaoism" ("COW-ism") for when I feel the need to sound impressive and spooky.

Blood Moon tomorrow night! A full lunar eclipse occurs at 9:14PM, and for a change, I think we'll have clear weather...

The Blood Moon or Hunter's Moon is so called because it occurs at the time of the final harvest; Samhain, the harvesting of the animals for food for the upcoming winter...

I wish I could have seen it. It must have been beautiful.

Blessed Samhain everyone. I hope your harvest is good and may you remember those who have passed on before us.

A blessed Samhain/New Year/Blood Harvest to you all!

My celebrations tonight ended up just myself and the spirits...not such bad company. :) Fortunately the town fire siren going wasn't because of my backyard blaze...I would have had an interesting time trying to explain my naked state and the firepit!
